doesn't amberina go from a red to gold / amber color? If so, is there a name for this item that goes from green to amber? I think this is a newer piece. No markings to tell me who made it. The coloring isn't painted on like on others I have seen. Any clues?

Thanks Jane, the colors match perfectly. I recognize the top as a glass I used to have. Looks like they took the top of the glass and added green to it on the bottom and changed the shape. Neat trick!
If I ever seen one like the one you are describing, I'll grab it for you (grin)
