This is the second bidder in less than 14 days from the Netherlands. Last one was a breeeze. This one wants to pay with an American Express Traveler's Check. Any experience out there with these and fraud?

Travelers checks are not money in the bank to the merchant. If they are reported stolen there can be a chargeback to your bank account. Usually takes a month or two till this happens as Amex is not fast.

What is their feedback?

Suggest or insist on Western Union if the do not wish to use PayPal.

I ship to the Netherlands frequently with no problems.

If it makes you feel any better, I bought a camera from a Swiss seller using US travelers.

Hey everyone, I posted here because I was worried about fraud! I really wasn't trying to be funny. I am not paying with the travelers checks, the Netherlander is ! I just wanted to know if anyone had any negative experience using these as payment.

what is that fried donut in new orleans which goes well with their coffee??
you have to eat them when they are hot.
same with amex traveller checks, you have to spend them as soon as you steal them, not mailing them to america .

When you get the check, call American Express to see if it is good. Tell them you suspect fraud and they will take it from there. If it is good, they will let you know.
