I have this PayPal user that is bidding on my auctions, paying with PayPal and then files a "Buyer Complaint" claim saying that they have contacted me countless times about the item and has never received it....which is a TOTAL lie.

I do not use tracking when I send out my items, so I'm forced to refund this jerk his money back.

I have blocked him from bidding on any further auctions of mine, but, I need to know if there is any way that I can block this idiot from making a payment through PalPal.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Phil

You can refund any payments sent after the fact.

Use delivery confirmation in the future. It avaoids most problems.

The answer is NO, but why would one NOT use DC, considering it is FREE or $0.13???

Not that I really care as the customer pays postage and ALL extras like DC but everytime I go to USPS, DC it costs .55 cents. Free I understand from some special way but .13 cents? Where can you get .15 cents to come up?

ALWAYS from now on get the basic DC from the USPS.

There are plenty of people out there who will try to rip you off just to exploit paypal buyer complaint process. If you don't got the DC you WILL NEVER WIN A DISPUTE!

Also FILE NPB NOW!!

If you are forced into giving a refund then the item is NOT PAID FOR........ Choose the NPB option of bidder stopped payment. Which is more severe than the simple didn't pay choice.

When you bidder emails you and tries to claim he paid you and why you are filing NPB against him tell him that when you file a chargeback against me then the item is NOT PAID FOR!! I am well within my rights to apply to Ebay to get the fees I paid back. If you get suspended in the process for not paying for bids that is your problem not mine.

You'd be surprised how many times the case becomes closed by the buyer as resolved amicably...... Especially if the buyer was pulling a scam on you.

Nothing will happen to the buyer, ebay will not even count it as a warning.... buyer has every right to do a papal complaint and with that decision in their favor, who do you think eBay is going to agree with?

Seller may get their fvf back, but then again they may also decide the seller is just sol.

I just downloaded the USPS shipping assistant. Does anyone know how they go about billing you for the postage? Also, what type and size labels are needed to print the barcodes? I ship first class with delivery confirmation for all items over $10.00 and would like to take advantage of the $.13 delivery confirmation. I've been paying $.55 up until now. Thanks so much for this money saving info!!!

When using shipping assistant there is no postage, only the mailing label. You can just buy the postage at the counter or machine.
I use a regular piece of paper. There are two parts. The bottom half is good for records the top half has the address label. I tape the address label on and am comfortable with that, I'm sure others have different methods.

Okay - one thing I didn't even read on here....why the seller does not 'BLOCK' this guy from even bidding on hers/his auctions???? That would eliminate everything right there. Whenever I have a problem bidder, I settle the problem as easy as I can - then I block them from bidding on any of my auctions again. You don't need the stress these people love to give.

After your buyer has paid through PayPal..there is a word "ship" right next to their name. That is where you can print your mailing labels from. It's easy.

Now for the people who DON'T pay through PayPal...go to PayPal - after you sign in and are on your "my account" page...there is a block that says "items sold"....go to that page and find the name of the buyer who paid you by money order or whatever...there is a little box that says "not paid" or something like that...click on that and it should take you to a page where you mark the buyer paid by whatever....then you can go back and print out a mailing label for that buyer.

Now, PayPal has the option of printing out mailing labels for priority mail and other ways also. You get your delivery confirmation free on PayPal and the postage amount is taken right out of your PayPal account...The USPS web site charges the postage fee to your credit card. You get a receipt copy printed out from PayPal as you are printing the shipping label - they also send a copy of the form to the buyer with the tracking number.

I had one buyer email me a few weeks ago and said she had not received her package. ALWAYS SAVE YOUR TRACKING #'S FROM PAYPAL...I looked up her auction and went in on PayPal - next to her name is the tracking number and you click on that - it takes you directly to the USPS website and tells you if the package was received. This gal had received the package - I told her that and never heard from you again.

SIMPLE, SIMPLE. Don't keep these people around to nag at you - you don't need it and you don't have to listen. BLOCK THEM FROM YOUR EBAY AUCTIONS!

Hi!

There are a number of us still doing postage the old fashioned way that really want to switch over to printed barcodes, hidden postage amounts, electronic purchase of DC. I'm sure like me, there are others that have a few things that we still don't quite understand from the postings we have read on the subject.

Sorry to ask you guys to repeat yourselves.

If I use Shiiping Assistant from USPS and I can't use it to buy postage online, print it on a lable, and just hand the packages to my letter carrier, what advantage is it? From what I read in the posts above, it looks like the only advantage is that I can print a cool-looking lable, only pay $.13 for DC but still have to go to the PO to pay for the postage?

So then, if I understand, the Paypal shipping option gives me the ability to print a shipping lable WITH postage paid from my PP account, free DC and no trip to the local PO? Can insurance be added without a trip to the PO?

Sorry, my brain hurts!

INSURANCE:

NO, ye still have to present to clerk for USPS INS -- tis why I use 3rd party INS!

ENDICIA incorporates U-PIC INSURANCE if you select "ENDICIA INSURANCE" when printing posrtage -- then ENDICIA bills you monthly for yer insurance usage...VERY EASY!

For INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE, I currently use DSI until ENDICIA convinces U-PIC to allow its INTERNATIONAL insurance to apply.

So far, my experience with both U-PIC & DSI has been very POSITIVE & I'm delighted that I can avoid all the hassle involved with USPS INSURANCE!

All my auctions that offer INS, clearly state that I'm offering U-PIC &/or DSI

If you'd like to see how I offer INS to my bidders, email me at:
[email protected]
& I'l send you an auction link

You will have to go to the post office for the insurance. I used to be in one of those stamp programs on the internet - they are nice but costly. When you're selling on eBay you need to cut corners all you can.

You are correct with the PayPal procedures.

If I have a buyer who needs insurance protection, I just handle the insurance myself. Most of my items are low price - are mailed priority mail - very seldom does anything get lost....but if it does, I can verify that the guy didn't get it or if something is destroyed just have them send it back - whatever - I can reimburse my buyers a whole lot faster than USPS or anyone else does. I have only had 2 packages get lost in the last 4 years, so I'm not too concerned with it.

Printing your label with PayPal - you do not have any fees - it's free. You can even print a sample out - go in and try it on one of your paid buyers and just print a sample shipping label out...just click on "ship" beside his name on PayPal - you won't get charged...just read the little blocks carefully before you "click on them." Fill the form out to ship it - it will take you to another form and click on "print sample."
