I know this has been chewed to death, but I have to vent. Received an email re: a widget that closes tonight. Question, what are the shipping costs on this widget. Jeez, all he had to do was read the entire TOS which plainly states, "Shipping charges are $15.00 anywhere in the USA." What could be more clear?

for the last few months, when i get these questions from people that can't read, i've stopped answering them. (descriptions and terms clearly stated in auction) when i did answer them, i then noticed a marked increase in spoof e'mails from eBay, so i suspect some of the questions are from people "phishing" on eBay to confirm e'mail addresses. just a thought.

Japerton; I take credit cards through PayPal. Charned, never thought of that possibility. An interesting perspective. Crowfarm, just had that happen last week.

Sanmar: This question shows how much I don't know - yet! HOw do you take a credit card through PayPal? Doesn't the buyer just use a credit card to pay PayPal? Does the seller get involved with that?
I ask because a buyer from the Netherlands asked me yesterday if I take credit cards through PayPal and I just answered that I take anything PayPal takes.

I take credit cards through PayPal, too...I found that a lot of these buyers "don't" want to give their bank number, etc., etc. and don't mind giving their credit card. Whatever is easier I say.
I agree, though, bidders "cannot" read or they don't want to. I have one that emailed me after the auction and asked if I would send her my address to send payment. It is right on the auction listing I don't accept money orders....Dah!!! She then came back and asked if she could send "cash." I finally relented and said she could send a money order......which I never got...like I really thought I would....never have why should I get one now! These people and their money orders - drive me bananas! Only to find out in the end they have had PayPal all along.
Just had another one - Canada - sent invoice of auction with postage of $8.00 - she sent the money through PayPal and used our USA $3.85 for priority postage. Now I am having a battle over that with her. Anyone else have a problem with Canadians? I guess I vented enough today and it wasn't even my question.
