Anybody else having problems with eBay this evening? For several hours now, it has been taking for bloody ever for eBay to come up, and even when going from one page to another the is slow going.

I've been having a helluva time lately myself. I do a search and a page of items comes up. I look at an item, then hit the back button on the browser to return to the page of listings and that's where the stalling occurs. In fact it hangs up my whole computer for 3-5 seconds then the page springs to life.

Very unnerving, and of course there's nothing about it on the ebay system status board.

I've been have the same problem as Tech for the last few days. Very slow backing out of a listing to get back to the search page.

Glad to know it's not just me.

Ditto on that one, Lucy!

I even tried using a different browser and computer to see if it's some gremlin that took over my machine, all to no avail.

Same here, Tech. Just as slow when I went in via AOL.

Come to think of it, Vendio isn't all that swift this morning.

This posted twice - I got a page can't be accessed error message when posting the first time. I wonder what's going on?

Search has been super slow for me for about the last 10days or so.

I've been timing it - to go from an auction back to the search page takes 10 seconds. Just to go to completed or reorder completed to Highest price first take 30seconds!!!! And I'm on DSL!

What is going on?

I was looking at ebay.uk a while ago and it was just fine. No slow back-button issues at all.

Some sections of eBay seem horribly slow lately (Feedback forum, for example). When that happens, I sometimes log on to eBay Canada, and I've never had a problem with slowness there, go figure.

I'm finding that eBay.UK is just as slow to load and maneuver around as regular eBay is.

I'm stilling having the same problem today as yesterday--every single page on eBay takes minutes to load.

Somethin' fishy goin' on around here?

Hi all,

I think it may have to do with how we're starting the search. When I did a new search (using the same criteria as one of my saved favorite searches) backing out of an auction was a lot faster.

Starting from the saved search, backing out was still very slow.

Don't know if this has anything to do with the overall problem but it seemed to help for me.

Hopefully someone who's more computer savvy than I will pop in and offer some thoughts.

Lucy

edited to add: Another search, which I changed a bit to cut down the number of items returend was faster also.

Damn it!! Going on three days now, and eBay is still slower than molasses in January. Just getting it to come up in the first place is a struggle, then checking My eBay, searching, etc--any time I have to change pages--takes minutes each time!

But the weirdest thing of all is that each day these problemshave disappeared about 11 pm PST! At that point, I can access eBay as easy as pie. Tomorrow morning I will probably be back to molasses again...
