And speaking of two buck chuck - we are deprived here on Long Island and the NYC area. Trader Joe's does not carry the wine in the stores in the tri state area. Boo hoo, guess we have to go to Chicago and get some for three bucks.
They say this is the greatest city in the world but it sure is lacking some of the finer things!!!!

Hey, am I too late to pop in and say Hello? Just got back from my grandson's 11th B-day party. I took the whole bunch to Hometown Buffet for BBQ Night. Sure beats cooking here! Lucy

Hi sanmar and mcjane
I came here to catch up about the new NPB policy and the possibility of non reserve auctions, etc. Now I see they are putting the glass and pottery categories back again? Everything changes so fast that it's hard to keep up with unless I check out this board.
I've always enjoyed Jack's threads so had to check this one out for sure.

Heyyyyyy it's a party !! lol I guess were all just lurking . I've been chasing a Trojan.Dropper.Small.IS virus for the past hour...grrr....but guess what .I WIN !! ha ha ha ha . Hate it when they park in 3 or 4 spots and you have to play find the exe. then regedit everything 20 times to make sure you got it all.Could use a bottle of 2 buck myself tonight and I don't drink
I just did a couple of BIN's on stuff that will be just super for selling in the fall. One had been listed for less than fifteen minutes when I saw it. Too cool!
Yep, Kiara, one and the same! A year older, a bit taller so is looking *somewhat* slimmer. I took him to the music store yesterday so he could pick out his very own Hohner harmonica. We did have fun...
Al, the ribs were pretty good tonight!
You know, I'm so glad Jack started this thread. It HAS been kinda dismal and wet-blanket-ish around here lately.

Neuroter -- No, it wasn't Ozzy. It was a band by the name of The Tubes that was very popular in the early '80s. They only had two hits and that was one of 'em.

diane: I dont think it was the tubes.
after a while I thought maybe alice cooper? or kiss? It was some band very dramatic with the makeup and all that. But I never did pay much attention to that kind of music awhole lot, just know I heard it around :-0\
tnernie: Could it really have been ELP? I didnt think that was it either. hmmp! whaddaya know!

Definetly ELP - and thank you for firmly entrenching the song in my head now.
Nero - Alice Coopers was Welcome to my Nightmare
Welcome to my nightmare
I think you're gonna like it
I think you're gonna feel like you belong
A nocturnal vacation
Unnecessary sedation
You want to feel at home 'cause you belong
Welcome to my nightmare
Welcome to my breakdown
I hope I didn't scare you
That's just the way we are when we come down
We sweat and laugh and scream here
'cuz life is just a dream here
You know inside you feel right at home here
Welcome to my breakdown
You're welcome to my nightmare
Welcome to my nightmare
I think you're gonna like it
I think you're gonna feel that you belong
We sweat laugh and scream here
'cuz life is just a dream here
You know inside you feel right at home here
Welcome to my nightmare
Welcome to my breakdown

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Yup, definitely ELP. I love that group. Along with the Moody Blues, ELO, CCR, the Allman Brothers Band, old Chicago. The music from the 70's was the best, IMHO. I think the "welcome to my [mother's] nightmare" was my Black Sabbath faze. What was really music in protest of the Vietnam war, my mother thought was devil worship music (hear that Ozzy?). She now tells me she was really worried about me at that time and considered making me go to church every Sunday. LOL!
