Well I worked like a mad woman all day and night yesterday. BUT happily my efforts have been rewarded. My BIN auctions are going bye - bye and at a nice rate. I'm grateful. I do have a question... someone have an answer? If you relist one of the free gallery free subtitles auctions as a free BIN relist does ebay charge you for the subtitle/gallery in the relist? I wouldn't put it past them but I don't know. If its free does it stay free?
Hope ya'll have a great week of BINS $$$$

It does not stay free! I think you can remove the gallery by revising the auction and get a credit but I don't think you can remove the subtitle...not sure about that. I think some of mine slipped through too

I did remove subtitles on MOST of the items I relisted in the BIN sale yesterday (750 listings) but a couple slipped through. I just tried to remove them and wasn't able to in "Revise your item" ((

Looks like you can't remove gallery any more either.. I am asking "Live HElp" for a way to fix!

Hi,

I went through this last time eBay had a free subtitle promotion. The auctions relisted automatically through Vendio and I couldn't remove the subtitle once that happened.

Here's a thread:

http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=15&thread=87186

As far as I know, the only way to get rid of the subtitle would be to edit in Vendio and then relist. Not sure if you will get a fee credit.

MYOLDTOY: Store listings are 2 cents and galleries and subtitles one cent each so the FP sale wouldn't apply to those items..cheaper to list directly in the store.

The FP items appear in the regular search so I opted to list that way and then will move all the unsolds to my store.

I was able to catch MOST of the galleries and subtitles when I relisted through Vendio but not ALL..have to admit my brain was pretty fried by the time I finished. I relisted 750 items and some of them had the features from the one cent days. Wonder if that was part of ebay's plan??

News from Live Update is not good...

Here's the transcript:
Jeramy: Thank you for using Live Chat! My name is Jeramy, how may I help you?

neglus: Is there any way to remove gallery or subtitle on existing listings? I just relisted 700 items with the FP sale yesterday and some slipped through with gallery and subtitles

Jeramy: Hi there ... good question! Unfortunately, no I'm afraid there isn't a way to remove a feature from a listing once it's running.

neglus: oh no! then it will cost be 85 cents to list those items!

neglus: you used to be able to uncheck gallery but i see that isn't an option any more!

neglus: thanks

Jeramy: You're very welcome!

Be careful about relisting the 10 cent FP auctions though. Ebay finally figured out the glitch that allowed for free relists on those auctions and they now do not qualify for a relist refund.

neglus: Sorry to hear that happened to you. I'm mildly amazed that Vendio doesn't have a fee-checker feature that would warn you before launching an expensive auction. Seems to me that's something that auction management software should do for you.

It's called eBay Preview. At the bottom of every new auction you prepare. Shows the fees.

If it's an automatic relist it doesn't appear.

Lucy: Well, that's kind of the point.

Since eBay promotions are coming more frequently these days, seems to me your auction management software ought to tell you how much this listing is going to cost when it will be posted...because relists can have different fees from original listings.

When you are relisting 700+ items all at once, pulling up a preview to see fees takes too long. I scanned the auctions and if I saw a gallery or subtitle, removed them. I missed some, but that's life .

I have been very happy with this FP sale and the last one too..well worth the hours I put in them. Missing the items that added fees is my own fault. I don't mind a gallery sneaking in once in awhile but a subtitle is a total waste of 50 cents!

Sorry, neglus, I don't agree that it's your fault. You shouldn't have to worry about such things. When an FLD or a 10 cent sale comes along you should be able to list list list and count on your auction management software to notify you of any gotchas.

Being human, you are not perfect; you cannot be expected to catch every little error. That's what software is for. That is, in fact, the perfect use for software.

Vendians: You should press Vendio to provide this for you. With what you pay them, you deserve it.
