Lookin' good, Oldtoy, very good!

I like it better with your TOS down below.

Your pics are good, too. I'm sure bidders will scroll all the way down to see all of them.

yes it does look better!

uh...I couldn't help but notice that your shi/ fees are clearly stated. I couldn't help but think you might want to add a P on that...so we don't see something else in our minds...........

Toy...Looks great to me. That is how I set mine up when I have a lot of photos. The good part is, if you get a bid and then find it necessary to add to the description, you have room to do it and it won't be missed if they look at all the pictures.

Toy,

I like your layout.

I'm on a regular dial-up, and it's downloading fast. So even with all of the pix, it's smooth.

I like the 3rd photo - the close-up of the first chair, right next to the text. It's an eye grabber.

Nice chairs, too

Hi Toy! I have one suggestion -- Can you retouch those photos to delete out the background? I find the background distracting and it takes away from the beauty of the chairs. Do you have a photo editing program that you can do that with? I have photo deluxe and I can delete out the background and add in shadows, etc. It may take a little time to retouch the photos, but I think it will be worth it. Other than that, I love the setup.

Hi Myoldtoy,

I like your entire auction disply and color choice, your pics are great!...........

But if I remember right in the 1930s they made only one Arm chair with a set and also from the style of the chairs and the straight back legs I am thinking that the chairs might be more from the early 1940s, please correct me someone if my memory is off. I know an extra Arm chair could have been ordered but also the style is what makes me think its more early 40's.

I would suggest some work on your description. Eliminate the multiple periods and the dashes, use capital letters where capitals are suppose to be. combine short choppy sentences into longer following ones. Why use shipn, when two more letters would have made it correct, also dont isn't a word don't is i am is.

I had the same thoughts about taking out the background, more because of the stains on the floor.

In the future, maybe you could put something on the floor and in the background - maybe hang a sheet to provide a solid, uncluttered background?

I use MicroSoft Photo Editor to crop. Do you have that on your computer? It came as part of my basic package. I use large sheets of posterboard - one under the object, and one behind, to block the background. Then I just crop out the excess.

Nicely done, good advise on wording, but it gives your auction that unique flavor. Your photography is really quite excellent. The only drawback that I see is that you take Paypal. You're dancing with the devil on that one.

I found the background interesting, being amused by reflectoporn and the like. I enjoy looking at incidentals that others say are distracting. I posted a link here a couple of weeks back with reflectobonghitting and no one caught on.

Good job!

Good job.

I also find the floor stains more distracting than the background, but if the background could be elimintaed that would be nice.

I wish I knew how to rid my pics of backgrounds easily. I use MGI Photosuite but have as many as 3 other SE copies of other photo editing software brands sitting around. Not sure I have one that will add shadows, but the pix done that way are VERY nice.

very old topic. sorry the pictures aren't available.

but then...he didn't edit the Lemoges title even after ohmslucy pointed it out to him.

To everybody else...editing out a background is very easy with a very smooth background of a highly contrasting color.
