Not only is this confusing, but it also keeps a rediculous list of everyone that I ever had to file a NPB for, as far back as who knows how long. This is stupid, and I'm guessing takes up more ebay memory space than their old system did.

Anyhow, I submitted a NPB on 7/1/04, and finally, after an hour trying to figure this new system out, I go to file my FVF and I see that ebay updated their system and it now shows they contacted the bidder on 7/10. So, now instead of being able to file the FVF because 7 days elapsed, I am guessing I have to wait an additional 7 days from when ebay notified the bidder. This is stupid. I am really getting PO'd at ebay.

i agree, it's baaaaaaaaaad. for some reason, i had about 40 people in my new "dispute center". 39 of the 40 have paid, although not with PayPal. eBay had no way of knowing that the others paid with checks and money orders, but _assumed_ that these people hadn't paid. i spent my afternoon canceling the "disputes" and had to answer several e'mails from confused and upset buyers who were formerly happy. the one person i DO want to file an FVF on, which i could have done in three days, i guess i now have to wait at least a week to do. thanks eBay...NOT!!! IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!

one is from the 7 of this month,, no longer availbable for refund????? what??????

E bay does NOT want to refund!!!!!! It's an auction,a swap meet spot, No rain checks,,,

I had one today.

Bidder said I do not want BIN product I purchased today because - Blah. (Which was a pretty good reason, as far as reasons go)

I said, OK, give me positive non-derogatory feedback and I will give you the same.

This they did.

I then put in for a mutual agreed to cancellation of the sale.

I notified the other party that all was well with this eBay request.

The other party confirmed the cancellation, and the FVF was processed Pronto with no waiting.

So you lost money on the sale. ebay made money, and the buyer lost nothing. All is well.

All of the hoops can ONLY be done ONCE. BUT, I see you can INVOICE the Hell out of them. Send a New Invoice. As many times as you please. Hound them to death with that Invoicing thing which then of course it will surely be taken as Harrasment and most likely earn you a BIG fat NEG from the flakes.

OK guys - I have searched everywhere on My Ebay and I can not find the dispute center or anything like it. I entered unpaid item in help and came up with nothing. I entered non paying bidder and got the old system. I have scoured my ebay until my fingers bled and I can not figure out where you guys are getting the lists you're talking about.

Could someone walk me through it please?

Thanks

I thought the same thing you did about all the FVF's that did not go through. After I looked a little more I found that these were buyers that I had filed a NPB alert on who had then paid. So, I didn't want to file for a credit. Just click on View and then on close and it will put them in the Closed section and you won't have to deal with them again.

I also found that when you close, you are given options. You can say that it is mutual and the buyer doesn't get a strike against them. That would be for the ones that paid after they got a warning. Or you can say that you don't want to communicate with the buyer and they will get strike. I forget what the third one was. I only saw it once.

At first I didn't like it either. But once I got the old stuff cleaned up and figured out what eBay didn't explain very well, it seems to be better that the old system. I was able to get credit on 3 without waiting the 10 days.

Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.

Hi Jack,
I just followed your directions but didn't get a list of people just the form to report one specific item if I provide the item number. Did I just go to the wrong place?

Adrian

Ebay is claiming "shorter" turnover for FVF credit, 14 to 17 days. Am I imagining this or didn't it take just 10 days under the old system?

And yes, the new system is very confusing and more complicated than the old. I agree it's just Ebay's latest way of frustrating sellers so they don't bother with refunds.

Yeah, meg or middle management probably declared "We are giving sellers too much back in refunds. Find a way to lessen those."

So instead off finding real ways get the NPBs to pay up, they make it yet harder to jump through the hoops to get the funds back.

I remember a two week period, a year or so ago when every time I tried to fill out the form for FVF refund, I got some eBay error message repeatedly. I was sure it was designed to drive off sellers from submitting requests. I do believe some of the glitches such as that are intentionally created. Mostly, they don't know their a$$ from their elbow and just screw the site up.

They cannot seem to leave what works fine alone. IMHO, it's a sign of insanity.

hehe,
Ebay never learns, they sent me a seller satisfaction survey. It was the usual BS questions that had prewritten answers to choose from. Nothing so daring as a space where you could actually tell them something useful. Oh and surprise, surprise, no way of responding to the email that sent the survey link. So the only way to respond was via the unsub link. I don't think it went anywhere useful but I gave them a serve just in case. I still couldn't find the place you mentioned Jack but maybe it is different for Aussies.
Regards,
Adrian.

Now we wait and see if I get NARU I guess.

Here is a kicker. Ebay stated that NPB's filed before the changed that you would still be able to complete the FVF process. Well true to form, ebay dropped the ball. I had 3 NPB's filed ( 2 at work and 1 personal) and they lost them all. I had to refile all of them only to start the process over again.

And how freakin stupid. Taking the mutual agreed option and making it a buyers option. If the buyer doesn't agree, the seller takes it up the rear end. Now when the stupid buy-it-now fails again on dutch auctions, buyers are going to get screwed as no seller in their right mind is going to file a mutual withdrawal on the second mis-double clicked buy-it button.

Leave it to ebay to screw up a system that was working. And leave the feedback system that is very broken alone. Talk about screwed up priorities.

I had a buyer return an item. I refunded. Filred as buyer returned item. Buyer claimed they completed sale and I got screwed out of the FVF. I have a Paypal receipt for the refund. eBay closed the case and I have no recourse except to call or email. I smell class action.
