I hate selling glass items because I know nothing about them. But, when my mother asked me to sell this dish that belonged to my grandmother, I agreed. I know that it is opalescent. What I don't know is if there is a name for this pattern and who might the maker be and approx. how old it might be? I know, I know. Too many questions. I would appreciate any help. Truly I would!

Thanks, toasted! I tried to find it and couldn't. Not exactly like mine, but close enough. I knew it was old, but didn't know it was that old. Must have belonged to my great grandmother. My grandmother wasn't born until 1915.

Beautiful bowl. Looks like it came out of the same mold as the one up for auction. Just different finishing on the outer edges.
I'd watch the other auction, and if the other one doesn't bring near book value, either hold it till a stronger selling time or place it on consignment in a high end mall.
The last piece that I had sold quickly at the mall, for more than eBay would have brought.

Thanks everyone! I think I will wait to list it. I'm getting tired of giving things away! Maybe I'll wait until fall. At least I got the ad written and better pictures taken.
