I use Auction Manager Pro and am confused about whether or not I can use it to provide my auctions with the Ebay calculated shipping charge section.

So far, I have been going back into Ebay auctions and revising them to add this feature.

If it is available in Vendio and I just don't understand how to use it... But once I do figure it out, must it apply to EVERY listing? Or can I stipulate payment instructions on some auctions and use the calculator on other auctions?

I never use it. I weigh my items & add 2 lbs for packing. I then look up the Zone 8 rate for Priority Mail & put this in my TOS. My minimum charge is $5.00. I figure my time & mileage are not free. Almost any mail order business has a S&H charge above the cost of postage/UPS charges. I just ordered shirt that was $14.95 in the catalog, my actual cost is over $19.00. S&H of almost $5.00. Why should I be any different? After all this is a "mail order business"

Thanks for the reply. I didn't say I didn't add a handling charge! The Ebay format allows you to do that. I have over 200 auctions going at once and they are all different types of items. On the heavier ones, I prefer to allow the customer to get a cheaper rate if they live closer, while I still get my handling charge. I don't always want to charge the same flat rate on a 5 lb item for someone that lives close by vs. across the country!

Hi, I asked the same question awhile back. They don't have the shipping calculator that ebay has, yet. I hope that they get it SOON. (Hint Hint) I have to do the same thing that you do because of the varying weights of what I sell and how it can be shipped. There is a free shipping calculator out there but, it doesn't allow you to add a handling charge. Hope that helps.

If you haven't already directly asked Vendio to add support for Ebay's shipping calculator, PLEASE DO SO NOW everyone!

Vendio claims to tally up unique requests for new features and use that to decide whether or not to implement something, and how soon. Several of us have asked for the shipping calculator - more than once! - but it seems like they haven't had enough requests yet to offer it.

So, PLEASE ASK VENDIO FOR EBAY'S CALCULATED SHIPPING TOOL !

Gau,

After I read your post here, I asked over in Vendio Services. The CS person told me to go look on the internet for a shipping calculator. You can go look at my repsonse.

Meadow -

I must be slow this morning, but I can't find your post over in Vendio Services (I looked under Sales Manager)

I'm interesteed in Ebay's shipping calculator, not the free ones. I want to use whatever features Ebay offers - including multiple shipping options, hidden handling charges, etc. None of the free ones keep pace with Ebay, and none that I've found support handling charges.

thanks for the support, maybe we'll eventually get access to the Ebay shipping calculator!

Meadow -

Should have looked a bit further for your post in Vendio Services before replying - just found it!

Good reply, echoed my feelings. I hope enough people chime in that we hit the Vendio "reserve" for new features!!

Gau,

I was very tired last night and forgot to tell you it was under Sales Mgr Pro issues. I put it there since it's what I use.

I also forgot to say that Darin, the Vendio CS rep did sat they plan to implement a Shipping Calculator in the future.

If more people head over to the thread and ask for it, I suspect it may have SOME impact. Hopefully.

I have found Vendio responsive to our needs. I realize though that they have long term plans and think out every step before acting, unlike some auction hosting service we are all familiar with.
