If I list items on just eBay, without Vendio, does eBay have an option to have thumbnail photos of my other available items scroll across the auction similar to what "Vendio Gallery" does?

No, they don't do that. The only thing they do have is "view items from this seller" which is similar - it shows 4 items, but I believe it only shows up if you have an ebay store.
