The auction counts at medved are up to about 18 million today. Is the counter broken or is it a free listing day I don't know about?

Looks more like 11.5 million and on a plateau. This is probably the auctions for all the same old, same old. If it were a flea market these are all the vendors you breeze past without looking. And the people with the good stuff have all packed it in and gone home......

I'm still shopping eBay, just not selling right now. I have gotten a couple of great buys in the last few days for sewing items (patterns, fabric) with no bidding competition. I went to Bidville and got about the nicest Hawaiian shirt for my hubby I've ever seen. New, for $12.99 including S&H.

If I was selling right now, I doubt I'd be so happy.

IHULA, ROFLMAO! You go girl!

Tell me what category and I'll come shop!
...hopefully, not keychain mini-penis flashlights...

What a coincidence! I just sold my last mini keychain flashlight in the shape of a penis.

OTOH, I do have some Hawaiian shirts

Hula, LOL!

Unfortunately, I doubt you have his size, 4X Tall, at least 33" long, at least 58" in the chest. I search twice a week for casual shirts for him, and am lucky to find one we like in the right size every month. He wears short sleeved denim shirts to work. I have found 4 shirts on Ebay in his size (that were not ugly!) in the last 3 months or so. Some were long sleeved and I had to alter. But I got 'em new & cheap! I am pretty well stocked up now, but willing to look if you have his size.

No, I had some 3xl last week that were from our ukulele player. He was a short, stocky man, though, and lost some weight so they wouldn't have been tall enough anyway. The only ones I have on now are a medium and an extra large - I have some cute womens ones in my ebay store, though .

Hula,

I'll take a look. Wanna give me a link or seller ID or auction number?

Bummer - I just realized the store listing ended a couple of days ago and I forgot to relaunch them. I just did now, but it may take a few minutes to show up. Here's a link to my store http://stores.ebay.com/Fairways-and-Maile-Leis

For the Women's shirts do a search on Paradise Found.

Hula,

Lovely shirts, but I'm plus-sized as well. Thanks anyway!

I LOVE your dashboard dancers!

LOL - you would think I would be really skinny with all the exercise stuff I sell, but unfortunately I spend too much time in front of the computer. In fact my department at work is closing by Aug. 6th, so then I'll have even more time in front of the computer .

Don't you counsel pregnant teens? And it is closing? Did you run out or do I need to be brought up to date? At least you are smart have skills that will always be in demand.

I do councel pregnant teens ( we do teaching, help them get baby items through programs around the city, check on their living situation, parenting skills, etc). Part of our department is funded by the state government (title 19 insurance) and whatever isn't covered by the state an inner city hospital was covering. Well, that hospital was going through some restructuring and decided that we were a "money losing" department. There is 14 nurses that work in our department (we each had a casload of about 40-50 patients).

There is a similar program in place now through an organization called Family Services which is run by the same parent company - Aurora Health Care - and they are taking over our patients. The also have openings for 3 nurses, but all 14 of us our applying for those 3 positions.

They will let us know next Thursday where they are placing us. We have until the end of this week to give them our preferences of where we want to be relocated to. My second choice if Family Services was filled was Visiting Nurses Association (same parent company), but I really hope I get the Family Services position since I've been so specialized for so long I'm nervous about going somewhere else and learning new skills.

Many of the nurses I work with are part time, so I put on my preference sheet that I would be willing to go part time if that's all that is open in Family Services - I thought it would increase my chances of getting in....but then we will have to step up our online sales. Hubby isn't too optimistic that we can sell that much more. .

Oh, piffle! You do seem quite diversified, but your site demonstrates you have the ability to make it work. Go for what you enjoy! Combine your interests. If you are not confident in your skills, go work in a rehab unit, nothing life-threatening (usually). And you can refresh your skills. If you are burnt out on Nursing you will now have the time to ratchet up your eBay presence and other marketing efforts. I think your main problem is that there are only 24 hours in a day. Spend them as profitably as you can, while enjoying what you do.

I learned a long time ago, if you want something done ask a busy person to do it. You seem to be pretty busy. So I'm asking you to evaluate your work effort. Eliminate the non-productive therbligs. Farm out the under-productive work and concentrate on what you do best and/or enjoy. The rest of you go bid on one of her auctions.

hehehe - I don't want any pity sales....well, maybe....

But seriously, I took a couple of days off this week and next week (they said I had too much vacation time built up anyway) so I'm using that time to tap into new sources, garage sales (which I haven't had time to do in a long time) etc. to see if I can find enough "stuff" out there to kick this up a notch. I also started selling at Amazon marketplace which has helped - had a dozen or sales there in the last couple of weeks. I'm just looking around to diversify not only what I sell but where I can sell it.

The Visiting Nurses has a 6 month orientation so I'm sure by the time I'm done with that I'll know all I need to know (more or less), but keeping up with ebay and doing a full time orientation is going to really drain me. I have been wanting to go part time and step up the ebay thing for over a year now, so I'm taking this as a sign from above .
