the plate looks like anchor hocking, not sure of the pattern.

the rolling pin is for a cookie "springerle" or something like that

The plate is Tiara ( "Sandwich" ). Not completely worthless but close to it.

It is not cut glass.

I don't think it's Anchor Hocking's Sandwich. The design around the center star is different.

It might be from Indiana Glass Company.

Hard to say... Among others, pressed glass in a Sandwich design was made by Anchor Hocking, Indiana, Duncan Miller and Westmoreland Glass.

Maybe Max will pop in. He'll know for sure.

Edited because I messed up the link.

Thanks so much to all of you for the help. Guess I can put the plate back in the cabinet and let my children do away with it when I am gone. The cookie roller brings a few bucks so maybe I will list it.

My daughter tells me I have so much stuff that she will set up tables at the funeral home when I die and everyone who comes to the visitation will get a free gift. Guess I will have friends I didn't know about.

Glass is a funny thing, dixielady. Very pretty and even beautiful pieces are often worth nothing.

I have a bunch of assorted etched stemware from the Forties -- very pretty, very delicate -- doing service in my office for juice and such because no one would buy it.

You are so right. I have had some beautiful things that no one wanted and some ugly (at least I thought they were) things that got multiple bids.
