And I'm in LOVE! I found a new tool in my Elements toolbox today. The Chalk brush under my default brushes. JUST the thing for when I'm painting out edges when you need a softer edge i.e. "hairy". I love this brush!

Lovely dog!! I love Yorkies. We just got my daughter a Golden Labrador Retriever. She's 8 years old with papers. She's been in the same family her entire life. The owner is elderly now and cannot care for her. Her name is Summer and she's the sweetest (albiet LARGE) thing!
I prefer Yorkies or Cocker Spaniels myself, but I would have taken Summer if my daughter hadn't wanted her so badly.

OMG. Tooooo adorable. I'm with Lucy; if I had a fenced yard, I'd have a small dog. But up here in the mountains small dogs are appetizers for bigger critters.

My wife's from the midwest. Very nice people there. Very wholesome.
They use words like 'Cripes' 'For Cripes sake.' Who would that be; Jesus Cripes? The son of 'Gosh' of the church of 'Holy Moly'? I'm not making fun of it. You think I wanna burn in 'Heck'?

Cheryl - Summer may be big, but labs are the BEST people dogs. My old lab Billy used to lie down next to the grandkids when they took naps, never snapped when they got away with torturing him, and was such a faithful friend. He was 18 years old when he died five years ago. I still miss him.

Oh how sweet! I love yorkies and am considering adopting one or another small dog such as a maltese or toy poodle. I live in an apartment so a large dog is out of the question. I had a toy poodle, but he was in congestive heart failure and when the meds finally peaked out and stopped working, I had him put down. He was like my child and I loved him so much. It's been 1 1/2 years since he's been gone and I miss him every day.

Summer proved yesterday how protective she's going to be. My granddaughter (6 yrs old) was on the front porch with her and my daughter went around to the side of the house. A neighbor whom Summer has never "met" approached the gate of the fence. Summer was off the porch in a heartbeat with her fur standing on end. She stood at the gate barking and growling. Once my daughter introduced the neighbor to Summer, all was well. We now know, Summer will protect Tiffany if need be. She's a great big blond loveable furry dog! After only two days, she follows my daughter and granddaughter everywhere.

We had a Yorkie when I was growing up and she was very much loved! Of course, my father didn't care to much for the "yapping". He says he always waited for her to erupt in a deep throated bark like a "man's dog", but it never happened. LOL!

Okay, can't help myself. Had to snap a quick pic before taking Tiffany to school. Here's Summer in all her glory:

If I had a fenced yard
For a Yorkie all you need to do is let the grass grow tall around the edge of your yard.
