I couldn't make it out of the house until late today. Looks like I missed a ton of yard sales because there are signs everywhere.

So, what goodies did you find today?

ooh ooh !! Raising hand ...I got that Taxco tray, 3 great big pieces of bling bling lol(2-925 silver dragons, and a 925 silver Japanese symbol)I mean these things are big...something like you'd see gang members wear on a long chain around they're necks hanging all the way to the waist for a dollar. A full silver fox stole (head, legs and all).I think I'm going to list it in the stuff animal side for a wall hanging. A west Germany demi parure carnival glass(iridescence marigold colored) necklace and earrings.A new in package glue gun for 50 cents and about 20lb or more of old linen doilies ,table cloth and odds looking pieces.A yellow fiesta timer so I don't burn dinner while I'm on the computer (whistling...dragging my foot back and forth while staring at the ceiling)blush lol just did that this week for the first time in years ! Never knew beans could dry up that fast Looks just like a fiesta tea jug ...so cute. And a pair of occupied japan salt & pepper shakers..I think I did pretty good today.

Wow Toasted, sounds to me like you hit the motherlode! Seeing your tray reminded me of how much I missed YS'ing in CA. I always found the coolest stuff in San Jose.

Northern Florida is not too bad, especially since you can YS all year. But not many people in Panama City have good "old" stuff. I don't need more stuff anyway. But YS is my weekly therapy.

I'd much rather spend $20 at a ?YS than $200 at the mall.

Me too ltray...I love to yard sale. They have me so spoiled I can't shop in the real world . The prices make me mad lol. I buy almost all of Amanda and Jason clothes at The Red Door where I volunteer 1 day a week or yard sales. High dollar name brand clothes for a dollar or 2 dollars each piece .I think people are crazy to pay 50.00 for a pair of jeans . Plus you never know when you gonna find something neat.

You did great toasted. I didn't do anything today but that is nothing new. This has been a bad 3 months for me. Not selling but personal. I sure hope it changes.

There were garage sales and a couple of estate sales but they didn't sound to great. I know that you never know what there is until you go but since we sold our second car I have to drag my husband and I am not going to do that. I love to go to them alone and with him along he talks to much and to loud. I think you know what I mean.

I have to much junque anyway so I had better get off my rear and get moving. Christmas will have come and gone. I hope we have sun tomorrow so I can take some great pictures.

I went to 2 yard sales yesterday and got depressed. More broken junk than the dump has! Went to the last one and the people had an ornament box full of 30's - 50's Christmas ornaments so I ask how much and she said $35. (She said this with a straight face) Most of them were well worn and scratched up. I am tempted to go back today and see if she sold them. If she did, boy am I gonna be rich! I have 4 beer boxes full of very nice old ornaments.
However, on a more cheerful note, I did go down one alley in the small town that I live in and pick up some very nice, brand new carpet strips. About 2 foot wide but they are long! Oh well, more carpet for my work room.

Don't know anything about the Lenox ornaments but the Waterford Ornament should do good. I sold a Waterford crystal cross signed Waterford for $45.00 purchased at the good will for $1.99. We have a Waterford Outlet store near here and the ornaments are beautiful.

Libra....you need to teach your husband the "code" word for ebay. Instead of saying "E-bay" you say "Aunt Sally". As in..."Do you think Aunt Sally might like this?"

Our EB word is Fred. It is amazing how much stuff "Fred" needs when my husband is with me, lol.

I can honestly say that another man was good for our marriage.

My husband would not stop at a YS for anything until he figured out that it was the only way he could see his wife for 3 hours straight on a Saturday morning. Now, we have lots of fun looking for things for Fred.

p.s. what do i want for christmas? I want pctv on my computer so i can watch the important 10 minutes of my 60 minute soap opera on my computer screen corner, WHILE i can still be productive on my listings .... hate running back and forth from tv to computer LOL ... i'm sure that is the one thing I want and will get .... probably will make my son-in-law install/configure it for me.

Itay: But YS is my weekly therapy

me too!!

I got some German wooden carousel thing - I know theres a name for it- marked Steinbeck or bach have to look, and then I got some really pretty art glass, I think it might be Murano have to research it... and...I got a Braun espresso capachino machine which I have to see if it works - I got it fairly cheap and its marked 200.00 on the box, so I hope it does work. The woman said it did. If I was into espresso I'd sure like to keep it, but maybe I'll make some money with it. I said I wasnt going to do appliances anymore, but I just couldnt pass this by. I need to get busy listing as next week they are having a huge sale that I know will be good and I'll need to sell some stuff to buy more stuff! LOL!
