We are looking for a second vehicle and want a cheap one. Has anybody bought a vehicle off of Ebay?

I don't want to get burned so I am asking for experiences first and any advice you want to give.

Thanks

Yes, well, a friend of mine bought a truck in Texas. Flew from PA to get it and is very happy with the truck and the price.

We sold our Harley to a gentleman in Japan. Got almost what we hoped, so we were happy.

This is the ebay seller/dealer I bought my car from. They were quite wonderful. Even picked me up from the SLC Airport.

Drove my car all the way back to Alaska. This was 2 or 3 summers ago...the car's still ticking.

I haven't, but I have a friend who sold one, & another who bought one. Both were pleased with their deals.

I sold a 64 mustang and the "girls" that bought it came from another state with a flat bed to take it back with them.

I have sold other cars also with no problem, and right now I have a vintage car up on auction that just received its first bid so I'm glad to see they didnt wait till the last day.

We have friends that purchased there car on Ebay motors and they are very happy.

Just decide what your top price is that you want to pay and don't go any higher, thats my suggestion.

There are also help offered on the ebay motors site if you need advice or would like to check on how to go about buying a car, this feature is new I believe, I never saw it before.

Invest the $25.00 or whatever it is in Carfax too. Very important.

My son also bought his car off ebay last year.

we bought 2 great vehicles and 1 nightmare vehicle thru ebay ...

not very goods odds when you're talkin' about bigger-bucks. the 2 vehicles that were great, were thru 1 and same seller, ... the nightmare one was this past Spring; a great camaro for 32 days then the engine locked up and we had to have a new/used engine put in it ... i hate that car.

If you live in California, be sure the car is certified to meet Calif. smog standards before you bid. It could easily cost a thousand dollars or more to get it legal to register.

We bought a late model pickup through Ebay and got an outstanding deal. We saved about $4,000 and have been very happy.
