Lately when I look at auctions with Vendio gallery (Sanmar's for example) I don't see the gallery but get this message in its plae:

" This Vendio Gallery is best viewed with

Macromedia Flash Player 6
or higher.

Click here to get the latest
Macromedia Flash Player.

Increase Sales by 18% and double your hits - Vendio Gallery"

Does this mean viewers will have to download to see the gallery and do you think they will bother?

neglus, maybe your question will be answered if you go to the other forum, Vendio Gallery.

I went there today with a problem .......my ebay motors gallery is not showing all 3 cars that I have listed its only showing 2 cars.

Vendio responded to my question and they are checking into my problem. So that might be the best place for you to post your question also. You might get an ans quicker then in here.

Toni - I don't really care because I don't use the gallery (too many items - too expensive) but thought maybe some of those who do would like to know. I didn't take the time to download the macromedia viewer and wonder if most buyers would? I thought I already had about every conceivable viewer on this pc anyway...maybe that's not the problem at all.

neglus,
In answer to your question, Yes and Yes. I found out through my nephew that he had to download it for some game that he was into. I also had a couple of people contact me about the gallery in my listing asking if it was safe and should they... I said that I had it on my computer with no problems and that they could down load it if they wanted. I also advised updated virus protection and all... Both of them did get it and wrote back very happy. So I can say that at least 2 buyers, yes buyers, did download it.

I did check on the Vendio Gallery Community Board - seems like Dadostickboy posted the same question. Vendio assumes that most people have flash installed - I am pretty sure I ran a spybot check and deleted it. Macromedia flash does have spyware attached to it and I certainly am not downloading it just to see a sellers' gallery and I'll bet I am not alone!

I was thinking of trying out the gallery but not now.

I have flashplayer and the gallary shows up. I really like it as with the items I am selling I think buyers will look at that instead of clicking on the auctions and then hopefully bid....

You have to install it, to view the gallery, if you have started using Mozilla/firefox.

My friends couldn't see mine and I couldn't opt to use or not use it so I stopped it.

I never had trouble viewing.
I installed a ad/spyware program and ran it.
That was the end of the Gallery.
I since reinstalled the flash player, and it has been working fine.
The Spyware program has not deleted it.

I did install Mozilla, so maybe that's the answer to why I don't see the gallery anymore. I guess if I HAD a gallery I would install the macromedia flash to make sure it's working - but don't think I am going to add spyware so I can view someone else's gallery! <-- of course I am not much of a buyer.
