Went round and round with a NPB till 11-15. On 11-15 I filed for and received my FVF credit from eBay. Today I received a MO from the buyer, postmarked 1-18. Do I go thru with the sale or mail back the money order? If I go thru with the sale, how do I notify ebay that the sale was completed, and I am no longer entitled to a FVF?

You can send the item and have the strike removed or send the money order back. It is your call. In your My Ebay where is states view disputes, hit the specific dispute then a screen shows up to hit remove unpaid strike since your buyer paid you. Ebay will then chargeback the final value fee to your account. I believe but I could be wrong.

Has the buyer ASKED you to remove the NPB?

If not, I wouldn't go to the trouble. After all, they DIDN'T follow the terms of the auction. I would basically call this an outside sale at this point.

If they specifically ASKED you to remove the strike, then go ahead and do it, just to potentially save your feedback. But if the buyer doesn't think to ask, then leave it as it is. One more black mark against a troublesome buyer.

You consider it outside the sale, I bet ebay wouldn't - If they could show proof, it could put you out of business on ebay. It isn't worth it. My philosophy on this is that if I have the item, I remove the strike and sell it to them. If I don't have the item, I return the money and keep the strike.

I can't find any way to remove the FVF strike. I went to the dispute on that item, and there was nothing about removing strike.

The Unpaid Item dispute has been closed for the following reason:
The seller has ended this communication and filed for a Final Value Fee credit.

No Link on the page, I'll just send the MO back and be glad to be rid of her.

Goodmorning Max. It should say "You can remove the Unpaid Item strike for this dispute." Right above where it says "Where would you like to go next? View all disputes
" If it doesn't it's prolly a eBay glitch or Maybe try dumping your temp. internet files and cookies and try viewing the page again. Hope this helps.

Keep the money, send the item. Do nothing else.

Go on to the next sale.

The end.

Of course Stones suggestion does not take into effect what happns when the buyer provides Ebay with proof of payment. I think they probably don't look to kindly upon those that recieve a payment and refund of fees and do nothing to correct the situation.
