I just found this morning that the personal receiving limit on personal Paypal accounts is now down from $1,000 a month to $500. I have had no notification of it, just checked my limit and found it was -$300. I guess they are forcing sellers to get a business account. For International sellers like myself, not only is there an increased charge for all transactions, but the exchange rate they give is about 2.5% lower than the going rate. For me it will mean a large drop in profits, but I have to consider upgrading to a business account now.

What is even worse if PayPal is really taking on the attitude of ebay. Personal accounts no longer have seller protection. So any buyer can commit PayPal fraud no matter what against a personal account and get away with it.

Makes sense...
Eventually, and hopefully, PayPal will wise up & clear up this "Personal Account" mess...
They should be restricted to Personal use, NOT BUSINESS use...
Seems FAIR to allow say, 3 transactions/month with a TOTAL limit of about $150 -- that seems "Personal" to me!
PAYPAL is a BUSINESS TOOL -- no reason why EVERYBODY shouldn't pay their FAIR SHARE to use this tool???????
FEES can be lowered drastically by going the PAYPAL PREFERRED route
That being said, I'm not sure if I'm going to stay with PP after 1-JAN, when feeBay institutes its new "Sellers' Footo-Colo-Rectal Policy" (AKA: "Bidder P&M Policy") -- but if I disavow PayPal, it will be a TOTAL DUMP!
