I recently sold an old Iroquois Beer clock that went WAY higher than I ever dreamed! I paid $10 for the clock so I was not going to let it break durring shipping and loose profits.
The high bidder was 166 miles away, I offered to meet up but they declined so I figured Pack-N-Mail could have this job (The glass cover was unique and non-replacable)
Anyways, I go to the Pack-N-Mail with the clock, give all the details and almost fainted when the guy said $45 PLUS the $18 for packing materials!!! I could not get out of that place fast enough. 166 miles is all it was going!
Is there really people paying these kind of prices to have 9lbs shipped less than 200 miles. What if it was going 2166 miles?
I will never walk in that place again for any reason. I did my own packing, 2 boxed, bubble, peanuts ect ect and it took about 20 minutes. On my way out the door he mentioned that it would be "professionally packed" What a joke!! Shipped for $16, priority mail, insured for $450...
