I'm seeing two different camps of what the FVF changes are about, and I'm not sure which one is right .... is the 'new' 8% fvf for store items only? or is it for auctions and fixed price items too?

The only way to really affect policy is to cause a disturbance in the bottom line. Imagine if the black bus riders in Alambama in the 1950's had written a petition, or created a one day boycott. They stayed off the busses for something like 18 months. I'm not suggesting people should leave ebay, because though I am not happy about the increases, I can work them into my business model. Once they don't work for me, I am gone. I do have to say I am starting to work on finding ways to drum up more business outside of ebay, so perhaps they will get less $$$ from me.

Waste of time or not, I signed it twice (for both of my accounts).
I honestly don't care whether eBay knows I signed it or not - the comments I made on the petition were included verbatim in my email to them today. Unlike eBay, I have done absolutely nothing wrong.

ESTATE: The 8% FVF applies to store items only.

In light of this petition, it will definitely fall on deaf ears at Ebay. Bottom line is what is important. But someone needs to bring this to the attendion of the TV media to really bring to the attention this petition and how the sellers truly feel. Any takers?

I see the posts on the petition. Has anyone else read them? Hey,,,,,shhhhhh,,,quiet! a little Trick I just did. You can post there as Many times as you like. It's Not a ONE vote thing.
Now, one of the comment I read was that thousands are running to the NEW sites? What NEW sites? Hahahahahaha,,,,,Am I missing something?
There is SOOOOOO much written there no one is EVER going to read all that. The bottom line is people are discouraged and upset over these increases. I can just see Meg reading a few lines of it an laughing her can off. She is the Queen of internet auctions. WWW....and We think were going to call the shots? Sorry, I think not. heck i don't like it either. what can we do? Appears nothing.

Most sellers will keep listing on E-Bay as they always have, that is what keeps E-Bay rich. Some sellers would have brains enough to know if they were losing money or not, they are like the Pollock selling the truckload of watermelons for the same price he bought them for saying he needed to buy a bigger truck so he could haul a bigger load and make more money. Next year when the post office goes up on their postage,E-Bay Sellers will post more auctions so they can have a chance of selling more. So the sales suck who cares.

Mah - I am so sorry that you have selected an item line to sell that has a rotten margin and horrible sell thru. I just don't understand why you admit to these things, continue to list and then call others foolish.
Perhaps you should spend more time researching more profitable and less seasonal items and less complaining about the inferiority of your current ones.
