A repeat bidder of mine left me a neg because his package never arrived. He didn't receive the email I sent (I believe him because AOL Mail has not worked properly for me lately). So in his mind I didn't answer his mail. Turns out the packaged was returned back to me. I went ahead and resent the package. I gave him a neg back explaining that he should know I would replace a lost package. It was Express Mail and fully insured.
I keep getting emails from Square Trade telling me we could have the feedback removed for $20.
We both agreed to this as soon as he receives his package.

I did and it's a total waste of money! Just do a mutual with him and save your $20.00. ST does the same thing that a mutual does.

Keep your $20. Removing a neg isn't worth the cash. Keep your money and move on.
FYI;
Even if you mutually remove the feedback, the statement will stay. Only the little red mark gets removed. Then you will have a giant blank space which is just as bad as a neg anyway.

If your buyer agrees, you can do the mutual withdraw now. I would put in for it anyway. I would never spend $20 for square trade when you can do it free with mutual withdraw.

Yeah, I'm the same thing to one of my bidders as well. Join the club. Do the right thing and get burned. Ironically, mutual feedback withdrawal is just as bad as a negative to some eBayers. They think that a mutual feedback removal is some evil thing to get out of having a neg. I have used it a few times when miscommunication has been the result, or during December I offered a few people a mutual withdrawal if they paid for their item via Paypal as a holiday gesture.
