I have a postage enquiry from Thailand. That's a new one to me, I thought I had sold to most countries. Anything to be concerned about? I only accept Bidpay or US cash from International buyers.

Then you should be pretty safe as far as shipping to them. Just make sure you only put the selling price on the custom slip

The lowest rate would be by surface to ship. If it is a small item then I would go with airmail.
The few deals I had with Thailand went smooth. Good luck.

Thanks trai, it's a fairly small package, but aimail is 3 times the cost of surface, so I quoted both. (I live in Canada) I was told by the post office that packages don't go by ship anymore, it would be even more expensive. I guess they send the surface ones on a slow plane!!!

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

We occasionally ship to Thailand but accept payment through the bank account of friends living in that wonderful country. It's easy for foreigners to open a bank account when on holiday there and get a cash card. Otherwise US dollars cash is easy to get from banks or currency exchangers. I would not accept any credit card payments from Thailand due to risk of CC fraud.

I have sold books to customers several times in Thailand, Hong Kong & Singapore. 2 of them have become repeat buyers.
They use Bidpay and I have never had a problem, other than the near heart failure I had when I got the $30.00 quote for the books on my first sale.
That buyer turned out to be one of my repeaters, they told me it was cheaper to pay $30.00 at a time for a huge lot of books than the $ 4-5 for a few at a time.
I'm always amazed at how my overseas customers never have a problem with these huge shipping fees, while I sit here debating on if I should buy something I really want but don't want to pay a $3.00 shipping.
