Take a look at the "ebay stores" discussion boards for some of the responces people are getting from their emails to Bill. Most sellers are more professional than the "assistants" to the president of ebay. The hole that they are trying to dig out of just got bigger.

Lighten up on Bill...probably just delegating authority to his two office assistants Mohatma and Apu

Me smeel someting fishy...

Ralphie , quick boy, come check this one out...

that thread has been up all day and only 2 people claim to have received responses from Bill? I seriously doubt it.

But then maybe I'm just being phissy about not receiving a response to the well executed letter I sent to him Sunday....

OMG, I just went back in to read how many "letters" the posters claimed to have received and they have deleted every post except the original and the last.

Whatz up wit that??? The thread had about 30 comments when I last looked at it...

"our loving community...."

More like, love for pay.

I did a double-take on the new, "revised" fees. I thought the drop to $.25 cents was for items under $10, but I see it is for items $1. What are they thinking? This is nothing but a PR attempt at damage control. Nowadays, any item listed at $1 sells at $1. eBay might as well invite us to throw our items away.

I don't know but I perceive an element of desperation in this latest move. When eBay went public we knew would only be a short while before the media realized what's really going on.

This kind of publicity (and fee hikes) will scare off larger, corporate sellers. Like it or not, eBay is stuck with us.

It took me a while to realize how those threads show. The first message is at the top of all the pages.

Yes, but this thread still appears to be missing. Bummer too, I was hoping to hear that
it was a spoof. <Sigh>

"It is our
expectation that those who are not properly using the stores format will
close and remain selling on the general site. This will result in a
more efficient stores section for those remaining which will lead to an
anticipated increase in sales through the stores format and may do so
successfully."
You can kiss my grits, and stick your store. I'll open one on Yahoo.
