Hi,
One more newbie question.
I am so tempted to just use eBay's free services for transactions and keeping track of everything (because they have gotten so much better due to competition from companies like Vendio), because I really don't need all that Vendio offers and I'd love to not have to get a monthly bill from Vendio, but I LOVE their scrolling photo gallery. What other similar alternatives have a scrolling gallery? Does eBay offer one? What would you recommend?

RWS - I haven't tried this one, but Cheryl (one of the Vendio regulars on this board) recommended this one:
It looks good and is easy to use and although it asks for funds, I don't believe they require it.
I decided to use Vendio's Gallery because it shows the price in it and many do not. Besides, I use many of Vendio's other features and have been happy with their services, and the Gallery was inexpensive.
Good Luck!

I think you'd also have to sign up for Image Hosting so Vendio could pull your photos into their gallery. That could be another $2.95 or $9.95, depending on how many images you store with them.
If there IS a way to use the gallery without also paying for image hosting, I hope someone will come in here and tell us.
However, being able to put several photos in an auction is the one huge plus for me to launch through Vendio, and I don't intend to jump ship right now.

I have used the Vendio Gallery independent of any other Vendio services. However, I quickly stopped using it due to the enormous cost. You only get a limited number of viewings before you are charged extra. If you do not have many listings, this may be OK. For me the, the $5.95 plan at the time ended up costing over $20 per month. Another alternative is to get an account at Spare Dollar and you can add just their gallery into your listings and the total cost is only $4.95 per month. Not to mention you get a lot of other useful features.

I have been using the Vendio Gallery since it inception. I usually run 20 to 25 auctions a week. My total cost for Vendio last month was $22+. I really don't know if it pays or not, no way of really making a comparison.
