How do you find all of the programs that are currently running on your computer so that you can shut them off and run a defrag and scan disk? I thought I had all of mine shut off, but apparently not and it took forever to scan disk. My defrag works now, but unfortunately, it kept getting glitched up because there is a hidden program running and I don't know how to find it to shut it off. Thanks.

I never did ask you what OS you're running.

here's an excellent trial program - much better than windows. and by running it you can make sure it's all stacked up nice and tight.

you can also schedule it to run a boot time defrag which is the best.
