Joy to the world! The most blatant counterfeiter on feeBay has finally been NARUed!

I was following this thread http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.jspa?threadID=410448660&tstart=0&mod=1109553482708 at feeBay's politically correct forums when I read post 68: 'Well, I guess I should have given feeBay more credit. They have taken action against one of the biggest policy violators on the site. Gradually, feeBay is cleaning up the site; I think that we just feel that it is taking too long. Thank you feeBay for doing what's right in this case.'

Check it out! feeBay finally threw a bucket of water on the wicked witch. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=pjd1966

This may be temporary, but there is still a party at my house tonight!

Parklane, this person had 14,000 positives with a smattering of negs?? I dont get it. And all those return customers?? Coins and a lamp was all I gather they sold. If he/she was such a fraud how did they go on so long with all the positives?

Parklane:

Are these the "estate sale" folks?

If YES, then they had a very interesting business model:

They listed a kabillion coins WITHOUT any description whatsoever, except for the following:

"I just got this from an estate & it looks OK to me..."

THAT was the ENTIRE description!

EXCEPT...and here it get really nifty-keen, EACH coin in every photo was in a cardboard holder (like from someone's collection) &, one each holder was written a description of the coin such as:

"RARE 1920 EAGLE GOLD JUJUBEE MINT6" or some such baloney like that...

So, even though the seller says NOTHING about the coin, the PICTURE says a million nonsense words...

Of course, the coins are fakes or repros or slugs -- just like Bush's economic plan!

I went over and read that thread. Seems like a lot of problems there. I took one paragraph from the new head of the coin catagory.

Please remember that there are many different types of people who use eBay in many different ways. It is hard to make everyone happy, but the more information we have, the closer we can get"!

This statement is unbelieveable. We pay our money and they can't help us? If they don't have enough help to keep the place safe then they should either hire more help or quit the auction business. Nobody likes to be ripped off.

Could this be one reason? He sells worldwide.

feeBay has oodles of problems in the numismatic categories. This particular 'powerseller' would rip you off on anything. My favorite is 'slave tags' she would list. I have not verified this, but another poster @ the feeBay forum pointed out that there are 9 known such tags in existence and 5 are in museums.

I would say I got ripped on a reproduction concert poster, but I never received any of the auctions I won from this cretin. Complaints to the USPS and IFCC did nothing. I plan to visit Savannah this summer, folks, stay tuned, this won't just be a brick through the window. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Even though she was a "Powerseller" - in reality, she was "Powerscrewer" to all of the people who bought from her.

"LOOKS ALL GOOD TO ME."

What an asinine phrase.

Mostly sold lots of coins. Sold a few swords (are those allowed on eBay?)

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=pjd1966

Feedback OK at 98.5% Not great, but not as bad as some sellers.

My guess is that they didn't pay their eBay fees.

The seller with 13,000 negs puts a statement in his auctions that the equipment he sells has not been tested and might be DOA.

Who would buy stuff like that? How hard can it be to test a friggin drill?

Since he has 180,000 FB eBay will probably cut him some slack.

Looks like feebay withdrew the NARU from this person. One has to wonder where ebay's priorities lie? This person has a 60% postive feedback for the present month. What kind of message does that send to the buying public about ebays buyer protection when they reinstate bad sellers like this person?

I posted this in another thread. Guess who is back "Looks good to Me" Remember them. They just got back from a suspension and you should see all the negatives they have received in the last couple of days.

I kept them bookmarked to see what was going to happen. They must have just not paid their bill and they let them back. Money talks.

If any coins that this seller lists are U.S. currency and are counterfeit, a simple call to the Treasury department, specifically the Secret Service, can put a damper on their sales for the next 15-20 years. Uncle Sam takes a dim view of anyone duplicating their currency, no matter what the age is as long as it is still legal tender.
