Hi, even though I use Vendio for my auctions, I prefer to print out the pre-paid USPS shipping via the button on my eBay auctions.

But I have to print them on paper, cut the label out of the paper and then using clear packing tape, tape it down on all four sides.

This is a waste of time and I was wondering if any of you print your shipping via eBay, BUT print it onto some particular adhesive-backed label.

It would be so great to hit print, peel off the back and slap it on the boxes.

Do you guys all do that already? Have I just been out of the loop?

If so, which labels should I buy?

Thanks so much,
~RWS

I purchased adhesive-backed labels on eBay and they work great. I think it was a box of 1,600 for $2.00 if I remember right. Shipping was more than the labels.

Which size or label #?
Any chance you remember who on eBay sold it?, etc.
Do you still have to cut the labels or are they just the right size?
What about all the other info shipping info on the other side of the dotted line?
Thanks so much,
~Mark

I bought mine on eBay too. There were 2 on a 8 x 11 sheet. I end up using 2 of the labels. One for the actual label and the other side with the Delivery Confirmation, I just stick to the back of the printout sheet that I keep for every auction.

Example of auction for labels--

max - have you used that seller? Why are labels listed in "Collectibles > Pez, Keychains, Promo Glasses > Pez > Vintage (no feet)" category?? Also, why is the $2.99 shipping cost crossed out? I also wonder about the comment about labels "marked UPS" but can use for everything? If UPS provides for free, why pay for them?

No, I haven't bought from that seller, I just used the auction as an example. I don't know why they were listed that way, I did a search for shipping labels and that was one of the auctions that turned up. You could always try to obtain them from UPS.

If I am shipping by USPS, I go to PayPal & print the label on sticky backed paper that I get from Office Depot. Its about 20 cents a sheet for a 8X111/2 sheet. I get the postage plus a DC with the tracking number on it. Just cut off the postage & attach it to the pkg. If I ship by FedEx, I print the label on Word on a 2X4 in peel off label. I print return labes on a full sheet so don't waste time doing every time.

Thanks for your answers guys.
Does the USPS sell label materials? I don't need them from them for free, I would just like some that are the right size.

Also, if I get generic adhesive sheets with two half sheet labels on each sheet, I assume that the dotted like with tiny scissors image will be on my shipping label half, right?

Any that are just the perfect size?

Thanks so much,

Unless UPS has changed policy, you can order from UPS website - they are free - 2/8'x1"sheet. They work perfect for post office or UPS shipments.

The UPS labels come stamped "For UPS Shipping ONLY" on the edge of the labels.

Everything you guys are doing seems so time consuming and complicated.

I use Endicia

I get the labels that are 4 to a page cut them in half vertically. On each label is more than enough room for the postage my return address their address and the delivery confirmaiton bar code.

Copy/paste the address in the window in the program enter the weight and print. Peel it off and stick on your package.

For those of you who like to also print paper copies you have the option to do that after but you don't need to as endicia keeps a log both on your hard drive and online for every piece of postage you have ever printed.

Makes for fairly easy record keeping. I just found out the other day that in the year and a half of using endicia I spent over $12,000 on postage......WOW

Why copy and paste when PayPal/eBay automatically transferes both addresses to their shipping label printout?

I just got several 1000 of the UPS labels... NO UPS on them at all. Now, some of their SMALLER labels on a roll have that printed, but NOT THE LARGE 8x11.

UNLESS they changed them.

AND YES - they are the perfect size. for USPS or UPS>
