"My eBay" page seems to be having problems. Feedback and hub domain don't seem to be working. Can search OK, but can't view items. I'm about 75 miles north of eBay.

Let's blame Msnbc's Keith Olberman, for posting the Michael Jackson Puppet Theatre on eBay tonight. All proceeeds go to charity. For those of you, who aren't familiar with him, you can check it out (when eBay is back up of course).

Yes, I have had 4 auctions end in the last 20 minutes. Also no "ebay end of auction" email coming through.

We are down in upstate new york, How long has it been, no notice on ebay except one back in the mid morning eastern standard time. Said it was resolved, looks like the search update they said was coming , came. Just like all ebay's updates , we have to go back before we go forward.

From eBay tonight: Jayson W.: There is no estimated time for this outage. Please have patience as this is a major technical issue with the site. This will be resolved as soon as possible.

Jayson W.: The problem is with the entire site and we are unable to post anything to the Announcements Board.

Wow - it's not just the UK site that is down either. The Australia, UK, Singapore, etc sites are also down.

100% correct "golfwidow1"
Didn't the announcment go something like: This update will make the search go FASTER, well we are at 0% currently so anything at this point is faster than now!

You are correct , the error message comes up quickly. Said that some dail ups will be faster , maybe they are but my cable is at a stand still. They also said that some Browsers will have trouble , how about all the browsers?

Ebay's outage policy is that they will extend any auctions ending during an outage for 24 hours, provided that the outage lasts at least 2 hours. The big problem is that their clock never shows an outage as lasting more than 1 hour and 59 minutes. If they can get the site up for at least 30 seconds during the outage, it is no longer an outage. It is called "intermittent problems". There's going to be a lot of disapointed snipers tonight, and a lot of happy early bidders.
