Any idea of the age (within 10 years) of some of the automobiles on this postcard? It's L.A., some church (can't identify the church). And if you can tell me the makes of any of the vehicles, that would be frosting on the cake! Thanks in advance.

Within 10 years---1916. Looks like a couple of Model T Fords in picture.

If you tell them Benjamin Franklin said it first, they'll believe you

I believe the car on the far left is a Model T. Crowfarm is in the general time frame.

Nice card! It is a real photo? If it is, you may be able to date by the stamp box.

What are those people in the street doing? Looks like a procession of some kind - choir robes?

Neglus: Yes, it's a real photo. The people lined up on the church steps appear to be a church choir in robes.

The back of the card is undivided. Says "Post card" across the top, "correspondence" and then "address." In upper right corner is "place stamp here" surrounded by little symbols like triangles and ovals. Any clue from that?

I just assumed the cars in the photo would give a rough idea to any viewer as to the age of the card. Thanks for any help you can give.

Edited to add: This was in our family "stuff." That branch was all in L.A., married there etc. I've tried to research the church, since one couple was married in the early 1900s in Christ Church Episcopal, L.A.; the photo may be that church but Google turns up nothing for me.

Adele - Check here to see if you can find the stamp box (real photo collectors want to know which one is there if you don't provide a scan of the back): http://www.playle.com/realphoto/

Make sure you use the word "real photo" or " rppc" or both in title and the other in description.

It might work to use your best guess of the church with ? mark - chances are someone will set you straight. I was going to suggest Episcopal (looks like an Episcopal church to me - I am an Episcopal priest's kid).
