Kijiji, eBay’s international classifieds group, today announced that it has acquired Gumtree (www.gumtree.com), a classifieds website based in London.
The acquisition helps Kijiji expand its global network of websites, and allows Gumtree to further scale its business with the resources and expertise of Kijiji and eBay. Designed to connect people in local communities, Kijiji is a start-up business created by a small team of entrepreneurs inside eBay.
