I would like some feedback ... I know this has been discussed in the past but I would like a current update. How are you doing? What do you sell new old ect? Do you get the same or more for your merchandise as on ebay? Is it easy to learn to list and sell on OS. Same hits as ebay? Creating listings easy or like the old ebay UGH!! before the software updates! Thanks in advance

Have I ever listed on Overstock?
Yes.

Have I ever sold on Overstock?
No.

In my categories, it was a total waste of time.

But as always, it depends on what you sell and how much you want to sell it for.

I have sold over 300 items on Overstock,is it easy to list?
yes and no,they have better picture hosting and it is cheap, buy it now is free, reserve is free ,but there is no such feature as list another item just like this one,so it is more time consuming if you are listing many items in the same category unless you use their mass loading feature.
do you get more money?no,you do not .
small ticket items sell, big expensive items will not.
The auction is not so hot anymore, even the Overstock customers know most are repros and junks.

I've had a little success selling low priced items on Overstock. Their various promotions attracted some bidders, but I think their user base has quickly diminished.

Overstock's listing fees are somewhat high. Lower than eBay's fees, but higher than most other auction sites (iOffer and Yahoo have free listing fees).

Overstock auctions have pretty much been taken over corporate sellers. Last time I checked, there were about 100,000 listings - 25,000 of those listings was a single seller selling 1 cent electronic/computer-related items with shipping costs higher than what the items are worth.

This is a very interesting thread. I haven't tried to list on Overstock yet. I was thinking of listing there or on Yahoo. I haven't been back there in years. Anyone having any success over at Yahoo?

I sell there bidding it slow and they need to make many back-end improvements to streamline the functionality on the seller side.

It is pretty easy and customer support is always available and are very helpfull. You don't get canned responses and they have phone support.

I'm very easy going but the thing that irritates me the most is the O is the fake designer handbag capitol of the internet! The management is completely ambivilant to the situation and even promotes "Designer Handbags" on the front page.

So if you got fakes to sell now is the time and its a limited time offer!

It's not a matter of IF but WHEN the lawyers of the big fashion houses show up on the O's doorstep.
