New here, so hopefully I'm posting this in the right place ...

I just joined vendio and have had no sales whatsoever since listing with it. Is it the load time? I'm also told that once you send your listing through vendio, Ebay no longers pulls you up in Google, but Froogle instead. Bummer.

I have had about six days now with nothing sold. I was making from $60 - $150.00 per day. Now, nothing for days. It HAS to be vendio, and if so, how do I convert all auctions back to plain old Ebay without ending every single one?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I see.

Nevermind. No one answered.

I'm getting the hell out of Vendio.

don't let the door hit you in the *ss

could it be that no one's answered your question yet because

a) it's the beginning of a short work week after a long holiday weekend and people are busy and/or

b) those with info on this question may not have seen it yet? i know, i know, your question's been up here for FOUR WHOLE HOURS. jeez.

There were responses to many other questions, but not even one I don't know.

Thanks for your sweet response. I see this was a mistake in more ways than one.

Thanks

Probably no one posted because no one knew the answer. I have used Vendio for several years - I did not experience a decrease in sales when I joined. I have not used ebay lister in years so have no idea if my sales would be better if I used ebay and not Vendio.

I doubt that Vendio is the cause of your faltering sales. Perhaps the listings have something different than your previous listings? Load time should not be slower unless you used humongous pictures that take too long to upload?

I personally think that there is little faucet at ebay that sometimes they turn on and your sales are great and other times they turn off and sales are crap but of course this isn't very scientific. My sister and I both have ebay stores and sell postcards. Her store sales are good on days when mine stink and vice versa - no way to explain it other than the faucet theory LOL...

I remember about a year or so ago the ebay search just picked up the first 100 words or so in the description. If you have tried to revise a Vendio listing through ebay you will see that the first 100 words are dedicated to template set up - I don't know if ebay search is limited again but that is a possiblility. I also don't know if ebay "sees" the Vendio HTML when it does the search or if it finds its way to the "real" description.

Sorry if my post sounded bad. But I'm completely frantic. Ebay is my only income at the moment and thanks to my bright idea that vendio would look nicer and bring in more sales I've had nothing in paypal for days, can't even go for milk.

I wanted help. I can't let it go on for one more day or I'm in big trouble. I think if I just cancel all my auctions and take the loss on that, it won't be due for a few weeks and then I can just relist everything as it was. I just don't know how to de-vendio everything I've listed. it's just not working at all.

Oh, Ok, thatnks! Maybe I should wait a few more days and see. It just seemed odd, because that's never happened before.
I'm freaking out over it. I have no large pictures and I tested the load time a few times, but I thought that still might have been it, vendio is showing hits, but nothing. It was probably a bad weekend to test this too, I forgot about that.

Thanks for the advice!

Don't cancel your listings! You can revise every listing and just take out all the vendio HTML in the description and rewrite it by putting in plain vanilla description. You may have to add the image back in - either by attaching to the bottom of the listing or by sticking the HTML in the description.

Can you give us an item number to take a look at and see if we can see if there is problem?

I'm on lunch "break" right now but have to get back to shipping. It sometimes does take awhile to get a response here because people aren't constantly watching the board. Many posters do not even use Vendio so they can't offer an opinion on its uses and benefits.

The holiday weekend certainly does have an effect on sales - even the week preceding and week following can be so-so. In fact, the whole summer can be dismal! Everyone has an opinion on whether to list or not during times like this - I list (but fewer items) but many are taking a break.

you just sounded a tad well, impatient

neglus has a good point about ebay having slow moments, in spurts...friday used to be my slowest day and now is one of my best...you'd think people would have something better to do on friday afternoons than sit at ebay but oh well, go figure. hopefully, that'll turn around soon for you.

personally, i've never had a vendio store. as a buyer, i find them hard to navigate and slow. have tried shopping on it, just never bought anything. for your $, ebay will probably have the most exposure of your items to potential buyers.

don't give up - after being hit in a bad car wreck two years ago and having broken bones, there was no $ coming in for months...but meanwhile, thousands of dollars in medical bills rolled in that had to be forwarded to lawyers...just grit your teeth and hang in there.

are you making purchases user-friendly at ebay? the more payment methods you accept, the more "do-able" your buyers will perceive the situation. competitive s & h?

good luck.

Are you talking about Vendio store - ebay store or regular ebay listings scheduled through Vendio? I never heard the "google" vs "froogle" theory on auction listings - I don't think it's true. Vendio stores are fed automatically to Froogle but that has nothing to do with ebay auction listings. Anyway - back to shipping (UGH)

NOTE: It does seems odd that you have gone from $60-150 sales per day to zilch unless you are talking about 1 item selling for that amount!! Why don't you try launching a couple of items the "old" way and see what the difference is?

OK I just did a google for "palmer cox ads" because I have two ivory soap ads on ebay now which were drawn by cox. I pop up as the 6th thing on google for the ones on ebay. But when you click on it, it takes you to my ebay auctions in my Vendio store.

I am not sure what your problem is but I doubt it is vendio. I have really good google and froogle placement via ebay and vendio.

I agree with Neglus it is hard to predict sales consistently. Good luck.

You really need to send us the auction number for one of your items so we can look at it. You have simply not provided enough info for anyone to help.

Hi, I did not see your post, until now.

But I will say from surfing ebay I have seen things that should be selling easily or having at least a few bidders go unsold or sold at 1 bid opening bid.

Graduations just passed, so did wedding season and plus its summer - vacation time for people!

I dont think its vendio. Its keyword search on ebay..unless you think all of your hits are coming from google links? But I would think most people are checking out ebay first trying to get the lowest price?

lol neglus, on that 'faucet theory' ... I have thought something similar myself. I'd like to think 'somebody up there likes me' or something like that, cause God knows how I continue on..., I mean, *I think* my stuff is neat and fairly priced, but its not grade A stuff anybody would be clamoring for, you know what I mean? I hit on a few good things here and there, but I've often wondered if they(ebay) is somehow generating business back for small sellers that keep them coming back listing?? -Like maybe they have an account called 'regenerate seller fees' or something! lol!! I said it and the minute I did - I laugh! because it sounds so bizarre, but would it be worth some small expense with the money ebay takes in to do something like that??? Would they make back three times the expense money they spent if they did? You do have to wonder.
