I received a Paypal ATM/Debit Card in the mail....out of the blue. In other words, not requested.
Is Paypal just sending these out like candy?
The reason I'm concerned is that a week or so prior to receiving the card I was sent what appeared to be a scam email from Paypal thanking me for applying. I never applied. Then got the card.

I got the same email message. I called PayPal about it because I was worried somebody had stolen my password and ordered a debit card. PayPal told me they are randomly sending them out to some account holders without asking first. I immediately canceled mine and changed my password. The customer service rep said many people were upset and they probably wouldn't try that again. Just a dumb idea by some highly paid PayPal executive. Not to worry though -- there was no account hijacking going on.

I thought it was illegal to send out credit cards unless they were requested??? I remember several years ago we got a credit card/day in the mail but I am pretty sure they outlawed that. How careless of PayPal to start something like that!

The PP Mastercard Debit Card saves me a FORTUNE in PP fees!
99% of my sales are DROP-SHIPS, so, when I get an order paid via PP, I use my PP debit card to order from my vendors -- dramatically lowers those STEEP PP fees.
Of course, there is a CATCH -- ya have to emesh yerself in the bogus PP PREFERRED program...
But, tis a thing...ANYTHING to lower all the fees that's choking me-n-Ralphie

Like Cheryl, I have a debit/credit card & have had it forever. I use it for gas, & today Iused it at Trader Joes for a case of 2 Buck Chuck. If you use it as a credit card, you get a 1.5% rebate, if you are a Premium member.
