Hi Neglus - I have a question re: you said you do not use Vendio checkout. I was also thinking of putting all the same inventory fromy my Ebay store into a Vendio store. Dumb question -but if you don't use Vendio check out how do they check out or do you mean you use different checkouts for each of the 2 different sites? I wasn't sure how to do that--

Hi dd731- Don't go by my Vendio Store!! Mine is a poor example of what a Vendio store can do! A vendio store came free with my Vendio Sales Manager Plan - my initial idea was to use it as a gallery (this was before they had the Vendio gallery) so I set it up to mirror my ebay store. I keep it for the froogle/google feed and also for the referral id. I am not even sure I know how to list items just to the Vendio store.

I know I am not using the Vendio store very effectively because the best way to promote it would be to use Vendio check-out and upsell from there when buyer checks out. I just never had the time to stock my Vendio store - if I take the time to do a listing I want it to go to auction at ebay where it will get maximum exposure and from there to my ebay store. VintageAds4u has a beautiful Vendio store and I am sure she gets a lot of business from there exclusively.

I just use ebay checkout - I know a lot of buyers don't like 3rd party checkouts. I don't either - in this era of internet fraud I just don't want to give any third party my information or access a site like PayPal THROUGH a 3rd party.

When someone looks at an item in my Vendio store they are re-directed back to ebay. The re-direct should include the referral id so that I get FVF credit if they buy something. The checkout and everything else is through ebay.

dd731:

If someone buys something in your Vendio store they have to go through the Vendio checkout. When they buy something of yours on eBay they have a choice.

Most of my items are unique but when I do have duplicates I list some in my Vendio store and some in my ebay store. My Vendio store also has the links back to ebay and I get referal credit.

I do all of that listing through Vendio tho so I can keep track of how many are where.

I like my store and do pretty good business. I did not use the checkout re-direct before due to clients complaining. However, I just started using the ebay checkout redirect now that it has improved. I did notice a few add ons.

Good luck and if I can be of any help, let me know.
