The forcasters are predicting that tropical storm Dennis will intensify to hurricane status and hit the central Gulf coast sometime this weekend as a dangerous category 4 or 5 hurricane. It might be a good idea to notify customers in some of the southern states of possible delays in delivery next week, and for sellers in the south to give a heads up to their customers about shipping and communications problems next week. I just shipped a package to Chattanooga that is scheduled to deliver next Tuesday and mentioned this to the customer.

Sounds like it's going to be a big one - let's hope it fizzles before landfall...

Well, now he's a himmicane! You all need to get those hatches battened!

(I do hope Tom gets Ralphie some water wings!)

He is already being called Dennis the Mennis!

For those of us that believe in the power of prayer, we have already started praying that Dennis turn into a nice rain shower for our gardens and that he does no harm.

Feel free to join us. We sure would appreciate it.

Hi all, I'm not taking any chances this time.
I've booked my motel room way up in Meridian MS. about 200 miles north of New Orleans or 150+ miles north west of Gulf Port..for 3 days. Had to take a Motel 6 because they allow our 3 dogs to stay with us..

The scariest part is returning home, not knowing what to expect...

Good luck to my fellow Swamp dwellers! Take Care! Praying that Dennis blows himself out before he makes landfall.. where ever that may be.. Maggie

I just finished putting my camper on my truck and loading it to go. I am just north of St.Petersburg so if Dennis starts moving more north or northeast I am going to go visit my sister in Ohio. I stayed here for all the storms last year NOT AGAIN.

That's just too cute.
We live in Jax, Fl (home of Ralphie the Wonder Dog) but have property on the Gulf - so we just can't win.

It's 109 degrees outside right now. If I was fed up with the frickin' heat, I'd move.

Those are his squeaky lips - they're his favorite toy - and the most annoying. How'd you get the pic there? Did you just paste it in the message area?

Maggie, reminds me of a card I saw a few years ago, needless to say, it got me in lots of trouble when I sent it to a friend as a joke

it said:

Girlfriend, you're just like a hurricane,

You've blown everything on the East Coast.
