I found this auction and tos to be such a turnoff, I felt compelled to post (I'm mostly a lurker.)This is like a how-to on chasing away customers. This seller has 11 feedback and is at 92.3%. Not exactly a shooting star. Here it is:

"Presented for your bidding pleasure are these vintage old Cathrineholm enamel mixing bowls in near mint condition. It appears as if they have seen little use, I hardly see evidence inside each bowl. Dating back to the 50's and 60's, these Eames Era folk art style Danish or Scandinavian modern design bowls are hard to find in this most excellent condition. NO chips, cracks, dents or rust. Collect Dansk or Eames Era stuff? Make them yours. As seen on Rachel Ray's cooking show 30 Minute Meals.

NEVER A RESERVE!

Measurements: 8", 7 ¼”, and 5½" diameters

Keywords: Catherineholm Catherine Cathrine Holm retro, Tom Cruise, booger

REQUIRED READING!!

If you have multiple or recent negative feedbacks, I reserve the right to cancel your bid. If you're going to whine I will sic mr.twistyneck (see his ‘about me’ page) on you, as I echo his philosophy on bidding. IF YOU ARE A DEADBEAT BIDDER, BE PREPARED TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES. Remember; NEGATIVE OR NEUTRAL feedback is reciprocal, ESPECIALLY if it is unjustified! Any concerns can be remedied by an email or phone call. If you have any questions, please ask in advance. All shipping costs are calculated with USPS rates, but may be delivered to you in other means (UPS, FedEx, etc.) in the interest of MY time and/or convenience at no additional cost to you. Items are shipped parcel post or ground, about 7 day delivery unless arranged otherwise. I make every attempt to ship your item(s) in a prompt manner, but sometimes I run behind due to having a job & a life. This means shipping may take up to 2 weeks after your payment clears. Feel free to contact me at any time with any questions, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible bidding & buying. If items are not as described, arrangements can be made for a refund. This does not mean you can simply return things because you changed your mind, broke it yourself, etc... Believe me, I will know if you are abusing my generosity, and will act accordingly.

YOUR SATISFACTION IS MY PRIORITY

Whoops! Left out one of his best paragrapsh

Let's understand each other - I am NOT an expert, maybe you are. I make every attempt to describe items in an honest and accurate manner. If you find a mistake, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! If you win and there is a problem, there is NO excuse for taking your frustration out on me when any problem can be easily fixed by simply bringing it to my attention. If it's not right, I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT.

Capito?

Winner to pay for shipping; calculated by your ZIP. Rarely do I charge a handling fee. However, if you are particularly troublesome or otherwise irritating, I may charge you a PITA Fee (Pain In The A..) Luckily, it has not been imposed. YET. I accept various payment methods including CC/Money Order and Personal Checks (which must clear before shipping).

ROFLMAO...<<All shipping costs are calculated with USPS rates, but may be delivered to you in other means (UPS, FedEx, etc.) in the interest of MY time and/or convenience at no additional cost to you>> In other words, he's going to charge you $12.00 for shipping via P.O., and send it to you via FedEx Ground for $6.00. Sneaky little bastard. He'll be a fortune 500 company in no time, if someone doesn't shoot him first.

You guys are my two favorite posters(3 counting Ralphie.) Super smart and great senses of humor. Learned so much from both of you. Thanks for the education.

This has to be the most profound statement on how to attract new customers: <<However, if you are particularly troublesome or otherwise irritating, I may charge you a PITA Fee (Pain In The A..) >>

Somehow, I get the feeling that this is a hobby seller, and not really interested in trying to make a profit on Ebay.

But Sparkz, the PITA fee was the part I liked best! I was thinking about using Pita instead of S&H in ALL of my descriptions.

Well sure. Some bidders deserve it. But you can't call it a PITA fee. Some of them are bright enough to figure out what it means. I was thinking of adding a fuel surcharge onto my shipping charges. That way I could blame it on Standard Oil, the Arabs, and a bunch of greedy politicians. The whole idea is to divert money into your pocket and the anger away from yourself to someone that everyone blames for their troubles. The hard part is trying to figure what the monthly liquor bill will be, and then apportioning it equally among all my customers. After all, I do want to be fair.

That's easy Sparkz, liquor goes on the transportation charge. It keeps you moving and motivated doesn't it???

Well of course it keeps one motivated. Who in their right mind would put up with the b.s. from Ebay and the deadbeat bidders if they were sober?

The PITA charge is tempting but....nahh--think I'll just try to keep the customers I have. It is hard enough to get a bid these days

Jack...How did the Swap go today??? Did you score any biggies? Referring back to the air conditioners, a friend of mine sells ceiling and oscillating fans at the local swap meet. I told him to keep an eye on the local forecast for California. When it hits 90 degrees in San Francisco, he can load his pickup full of fans and head up there and dump them for a fortune. He could even park in a tow-away zone, sell 'em off the tailgate, and be sold out and on the way home before the cops showed up to write the ticket. Fans are as hard to find in S.F. as space heaters are in Honolulu.

When I first moved to Honolulu in the early 80's, the temps got down to the mid-40's. Single wall construction and no heat. I'd have done just about anything for a space heater. Just wait till winter Jack, there's a market.

Twig...If Jack goes to Hawaii for Christmas, and the mercury drops to the 40's, and he's the only one on the island with space heaters, he'll be able to throw a party for all of us
