Well, back from a short 5-day trip to find two packages that I had mailed on 7/9 to the UK returned.
Each package had an Endicia label with Air-Mail postage and the customs form you can print with Endicia.
Upon their return two things were noted by the MAIN post office (not my local guys who are clueless about the return).
The packages now had a label that said SURFACE TRANSPORTATION ONLY (and I had paid air mail postage). And, a note was pasted on each package saying that the CN22 had to be the green label, you could not use the endicia ( or as he wrote the "reprinted one" ).
Looks like I will have to drive 20 miles to the main post office and argue with someone, but I would like to go with a print out that says we can use the Endicia customs label.
I called the 1-800 number for the post office and they too were clueless. All they could do was give me the number for the main post office in Waco and of course, no one ever answers that phone.
Anyone have any suggestions? Help?
Thanks in advance!
Beth

Endicia is approved by the USPS. Most certainly the forms generated from their site are also USPS approved. Why not call Endicia?
ORIGINALLY, did you present the packages to a window clerk? Did he POSTMARK the CUSTOMS FORMS??
Or, did you hand off to a driver, etc??
From BAD EXPERIENCE, I have learned this:
ALL DUTIABLE INTERNATIONAL PACKIES MUST (regardless what anybody here says) BE PRESENTED TO A WINDOW CLERK & HE MUST POSTMARK THE CUSTOMS FORM...if NOT, then the packie will be RETURNED TO YOU!
This has NOTHING to do with ENDICIA, it has to do with the AIRLINES & THE LAW

Thanks, I spoke to Endicia and they are looking into it. My local po has accepted them for years now. I am wondering now if it is because they are airmail not global priority. Anyway, crisis averted and I will attach the green form until all is revealed to me later.

GREEN FORM is fine for UNDER 4lbs -- just MAKE SURE the clerk POSTMARKS IT --

Vintage, Pay attention to what Tomwii mentioned. If t your local PO does not mark the package to show they personally accepted it, it will be returned to you.
I think GG had that happen about a year ago at her local PO. She too uses Endicia.
She handed an international package off in a stack of other boxes and the clerk forgot to use "the secret mark" or what ever the heck they use to show a clerk accepted the package and the next day her postman delivered the package back to her.

Just to clarify:
Although I love & used ENDICIA for all my DOMESTIC mail, I never use it internationally, so the problems you're describing have nada to do with ENDICIA.
The forms are available from the PO SITE when you do a FEE CHECK.
THE IMPORTANT REMINDER IS: make sure the clerk POSTMARKS the CUSTOMS FORMS!
BTW: many clerks DO NOT KNOW THAT THEY are to do this & you MUST REMIND THEM to do so!
The last time I forgot...the packie CAME BACK HOME...

I'm really glad that I read the posts. I was just planning to leave my foreign shipments at my mailbox along with my domestic shipments. I will now go to the PO with my foreign bound packaages.
