Hi, all. I've been listing and ending on Monday nights instead of Sunday nights for a month or two now, and my hits and bids are better than they've been in years. I wouldn't tell anyone what to do here, gosh forbid, but you might want to give it a try sometime soon. Tonight's auctions were fabulous for me; doing the happy dance.

I've been doing a bunch of Mondays for a while. To paraphrase Yogi Berra: "Sundays on eBay were so crowded, nobody went there anymore."

Last Monday night was another good one for me. This week, though, I have a bunch of relist pound puppies up and they may not do well at all. I shouldn't even have relisted some of them. But all in all, I like Monday nights this fall (and Sunday nights are saved for West Wing, LOL).
However, this coming weekend I'm beginning my items Sunday evening - don't ask why. Just a whim, I suppose.

I don't know if I would generalize from Adele's experience. I found that Tuesday mornings were about 20% more profitable than any other day of the week. I theorized people are too dazed to bid on Monday morning.

fluf-depending on what you're selling-Tuesday mornings could be bad also-guys watching Monday night football would be too dazed Tuesday morning. If you're selling female stuff,Tuesday
morning could be good,as the females probably went to bed early Monday night....alone...LOL

Knowing how many people bid while at work, I figured Monday would be a good day for folks to be looking - and bidding. I've never ended auctions in the morning.
However, the bidding I do for our local museum is verrrry good during workdays, when most of my rival bidders are out somewhere. I love an auction for a museum item that ends at, say, 3 p.m. on a workday. Or between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. any day.
