Just when I finally figured out my best summer listing days - they switch TV schedules on me. My best listing day continues to be Mondays, but my other 'best' days have gone to pot. Any suggestions?

I have always liked Sundays now with the new season I think Desperate Housewifes is taking bidders away. Does Monday night figure as good night with football? Just how do we compete with TV. LOL

My other good night is Tuesday but haven't had a good feel since the new season is fresh.

Would be interested in others opinions.

Good subject Pix.

I usually use Tuesdays in the summer??? don't have a clue but it works for me. I switch to Wens or Thursday during the winter. Tuesday is that American Idol show.. you know the one more people vote for than vote during national elections.... why fight that wave!

Seems like the type of item you are selling will have to factor into it as well. No guy stuff during Monday Night Football etc.
Thursday has always done it for me but that a really great TV night this season IMO.

Hmmm, no Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Thursday auctions. I don't like Wed,so that only leaves Fri & Sat. Those nites really suck.
I guess I'll wait for summer reruns to start listing.

Saturday night always seems to work best for me and Sundays are awful yet according to all I have read over the past few years Sunday nights are the best. EBay & Vendio seem to slow to a crawl.
I think if you have regular customers they have to be trained so they know when your auctions end.
THEN again....it does, as someone said...depend on what you sell.

I throw my hands up in the air and will stick to Saturdays as much as possible.

I have been meaning to start a thread about this same thing. I always loved Sunday night, but now the compeition on TV is too hard.Thursday night is so hot on TV that the networks are doing battle. I got a WOW when 2 of my sisters say they never bid on anything ending on the weekends because they are too busy to check their computers. I had another person tell me they only check during the day, when at work!! No competition from TV there, just watch out for your boss. It really does depend on what you sell, but I am getting a lot of action during the day now.

I make it a point to never have listings end while a big sporting event is on - all the men are glued to the boobtube. Same goes for popular weekly programs like LOST, GREY'S ANATOMY, HOUSEWIVES, HOUSE, IDOL... which tend to syphon off the high-payers or those with disposable income.

I found it to be effective to list items based upon gender. Have women stuff end during Men's TV events and Men's stuff end during the women's shows.

Same thing happens around here during hunting season. There are many hunting widows during deer hunting season. Want to guess what they are doing when the spouse is away?
