Writely with or associated with google? It is a webware program for creating word type documents. A word processor program that runs on the web and is free. Can sign in with your gmail name password and check it out or use it. Neat if you don't have MS Word or Adobe Acrobat for creating PDF files.Writely

Best "free" program I have found is Open Office. http://www.openoffice.org/ Been using it for about 2 years now and love it. Includes all kinds of useful tools. Writer, calculator, drawing, impress, base, math. This is probably my favorite free source program next to Mozilla Firefox.
