This seller has all kinds of rules in her listing. Is this a necessity if I want to list a similar item??

The only thing I know you have to do is show an orange barrel plug, of some kind, in your photos. Maybe some rules have been added, there should be some toy gun listing guidelines. But offhand I'm not sure exactly where to find them. You may have to browse around.

Here it is. Cap guns rules can be found in "some examples."

It's not a necessity but listing the rules in your auction tells the report happy twits to go bother someone else.

niel35...the auction you have posted is actually in violation of eBay policy. They list that they are selling pyrotechnics(50 rollcaps!! So if you also have CAPS with your guns, DO NOT list them in the description. I sold several of the rolled caps, before they got booted. Similiar item is the MODEL ROCKETS....you can sell the kits...but make sure you note that it DOES NOT contain the rocket engines. Here is the list from eBay. You know you can probably get away with it til someone reports you.

Fireworks: Fireworks or pyrotechnic devices may not be listed on eBay. These items are heavily regulated or banned in most states, and postal regulations prohibit shipping these items through the postal system. Under California law, fireworks include "any device containing chemical elements and chemical compounds capable of burning independently of the oxygen of the atmosphere and producing audible, visual, mechanical, or thermal effects which are useful as pyrotechnic devices or for entertainment." Pyrotechnic devices include "any combination of materials, including pyrotechnic compositions, which, by the agency of fire, produce an audible, visual, mechanical or thermal effect designed and intended to be useful for industrial, agricultural, personal safety, or educational purposes." Examples of fireworks and pyrotechnic devices that may not be listed on eBay include, but are not limited to: fireworks and fireworks kits, aerial bombs, booby traps (pull string), bottle rockets, chasers, daygo bombs, firecrackers, fountains, nitro poppers, party poppers, roman candles, skyrockets, smoke balls, smoke bombs, snap caps, snappers, sparklers, sparks, and torpedoes.

I was going to say the same thing. I am pretty sure it is a violation to list it on eBay.

OK, thanks everybody. I don't think they are selling the actual caps in that auction, as they say to get them at Wal Mart or Target.
Also the guys do have the orange barrel plug so think I will take a chance and list them.
thanks again
