Why does eBay make it so hard to find things like this on the site? I have searched and searched.

I have been offered power seller status several time and turned it down because I could see no advantage, but now with the power seller discounts, I would like to accept it. I think I meet the criteria (although I can't find what this is anywhere on eBay), I have 100% feedback, almost 700 positives. I sell about 1,000 - 1,100 a month.

Can I apply for it, or do I have to wait for eBay to offer it again?

Home > Sell > Seller Central > Advanced Selling > PowerSellers

I think there is a place there to check to see if you qualify. Otherwise you can click on any PS Logo and it should take you to the portal

You may just be able to sign into the power seller page; try that. If not, contact Live Help and see if they can help. Requirements etc. are here:

Basic eBay requirements for POWER SELLER:

Requirements

To qualify and remain in the PowerSeller program, members must:

Uphold the eBay community values, including honesty, timeliness and mutual respect
Meet the following average minimum sales requirements:
Three Month Requirement: a minimum of $1,000 in sales or 100 items per month, for three consecutive months
Annual Requirement: a minimum of $12,000 or 1,200 items for the prior twelve months
Achieve the following minimum average of items sold:
Three Month Requirement: 2 items sold per month for the past 3 months (6 items)
Annual Requirement: 2 items sold per month for the past 12 months (24 items)
Achieve an overall Feedback rating of 100, of which 98% or more is positive
Have been an active member for 90 days
Have an account in good financial standing
Comply with all eBay listing and marketplace policies
New requirement effective July 2008: have maintained a rating of 4.5 or higher for the past 12 months in all four detailed seller ratings (DSRs) - item as described, communication, shipping time, and shipping and handling charges. In the case of PowerSellers that sell exclusively in Motors Vehicles categories or Half.com the following requirements apply:
Motors Vehicles categories - the requirement applies to item description and communication ratings only
Half.com - since Half.com does not use detailed seller ratings (DSRs), these sellers are exempted from the DSR requirement
PowerSeller program eligibility is reviewed every month. Sellers not meeting the requirements above may loose their PowerSeller status.

Thanks for the help, I found all the details, and I do qualify, but it seems that eBay has to send an email inviting sellers to become power sellers

Amber, did you try just signing in? If your sales are there I'll bet you are one and don't know it.

Yes neglus, I tried signing in, and I got a message saying I had refused the offer. I never got an offer. So I sent a message to eBay, and they wrote back and said they had sent me an invitation, it never arrived. I wrote again and they said they would send it again, still didn't arrive. I told them, and they just made me a power seller! I hope some of the discounts will help. One of the things I want most is to be able to call eBay when I need it.

Amber - Unless they changed things in the last year or so, just being a Bronze PowerSeller did give you a phone number to call - but it was all automated and I never did find out how to actually talk to someone.

I think you might have to be a Silver before you can actually talk to someone.

Someone please correct me if it has changed recently.

I never had much luck with the Silver Power Seller call in number either. Best support was when I called the Stores Customer Service Number - maybe it was just luck that I got someone who didn't tell me to clear my cache and toss my cookies.
