It might be that it is just a late tired evening. Hopefully I can explain this correctly and someone else may be able to help.

I noticed that my ACCOUNT FEE BALANCE seemed extremely high when I went to revise an item and it posts your current balance on the bottom. So I went to my SELLER ACCOUNT and wanted to view ALL ACTIVITY from the posting of the last invoice til now. ERROR: TOO MANY TRANSACTIONS to vies all at once. So, I did from 2/28/08 to 3/20/08....everything looked normal...I had made a couple of payments and the running total was a NEGATIVE amount. Each time a new listing appeared, it got closer and closer to zero balance. 3/28/08 it was still a NEGATIVE $100(as an example). I ran the next set of dates (3/20/08 to now...and the negative $100 was a POSITIVE $100 and items where increasing that total????? Even if I listed several hundred items in the last week with this sale, it doesn't seem like my invoice should be HUNDREDS more then last month???

Anyone else see a problem or can help with this one? I will be on the phone in the AM with ebay...

Could it be affected by the higher FVF's? Mine is lower than in the past, due to the lower store listing fees.

I have several thousand store items...my bill should be HALF...not 50% MORE.

Here are a few quotes...word for word from live help;

"I believe the confusion here is its running negative at this time based on the payments made and your invoice that is currently being generated"

my response..."bottom line ..it shows a balance of $XXX.XX - what is the TRUE FIGURE --- RIGHT NOW that I owe?"

followed by theirs;

"right now you do not owe anything, the $XXX.XX is not due until you next invoice, right now the account status is a little distorted because an invoice is being generated"

WHAT?!??!!

"That's why its not showing the account activity correctly since the last invoice"

"ok sorry about that, the it appears that it is showing the correct amount but there are just so many transactions that it is not showing thtem all on the page, what you can do though is download it into a more compressed form and it will show the individual charges totaling up to that amount"

"or if you place a more narrow date like 3/15 to 3/30 it helps as well"

again, I explained to him that you are limited on the date range...I ran the max and ended with a negative total, continue the range for the last few days and the total went several hundreds higher.

"sorry about that I just reviewed with searching by range the way that it is taking amount of -xxx when you place the range in, is not entirely accurate, due to the fact it does not take your whole account into consideration just the time specified"

"there are some current error with the issueing with the invoice where totals do not show up entire correctly when searching in range as well"

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
you know...I did take the time to fill out their survey!

my only question....did the White House fire someone recently???

Gee, what a mess for you. I have about given up on looking at my account for some of the reasons you've mentioned. Bad Adele, on my left shoulder, whispers that eBay may want it this way. . . .

I agree with pixiamom. It is problably higher FVF fees causing about a 50% increase in fees.

OMG - I think I understand the eBay support person - something must be really wrong with me! I believe what she's saying is that if you look at a specific date range- the totals will be inaccurate because they will not take into account any payments made outside of the date range since your last invoice.

I can't even bring up charges from 3/1/08 to 3/31. When I select to see recent charges I get the notice I have too many transactions and then when I specify the range, I get back to the first page again. My total due is about $400 less than last month with about the same $ amount of sales.
