Maybe I missed something but how does a seller get a "raised" search status? I checked the info but all it said was to "improve customer service". Do you have to be a power seller? All of my DSRs exceed the eBay average. Just wondering...

You can only raise it if your buyers give you higher star ratings (DSR's). Of course, most don't have a clue what these really stars mean.
You don't have to be a powerseller.

Some sellers are indicating that their sales have declined since their status was raised.
Also, if you have store items, it is now known that you may not be showing up even when you have items that match a core item. eBay has admitted it is a "serious problem".
In other words, raised status may not mean much.

What does that mean? If someone searches "Timbuktu postcard", and I have a matching core listing, that listing may not show BECAUSE I have a Store?

No, not because you have a store but because there is a glitch in showing store items in general.
Sometimes a screen will come up that shows all the store items that match a core and "you" won't be there.
Sometimes a screen will come up that shows that there are no items (while there is none in core, there are some in stores and none of the items show).
Sometimes if you have 3 Timbucktu postcards, one in core and two in store, it will not show in the little box to the left that you have more in your store.
It seems to be random and intermittent. It is being talked about on the eBay store board and live help has addressed it.

This problem is good to know. They flagged me as Raised and then my listings disappeared fr search last! My DSRs are 5.0, 5.0, 4.9, 4.8 so there is no reason for them to not be top priority.
I have been seething for days. I normally sell $300-$500 a day and for the past week it has been more like $50 to $100. During a small window this weekend, my listings magically reappeared and my sales went through the roof. $1500 on Saturday but it is back to zilch today. GRRR!
