Hope I am not repeating info here but....
I had just started to revise all of my listings to comply with the Return Policy, Handling time etc and looked at the EBay Stores Board.
The following is posted on the Stores Board.

New Requirement: Specify Handling Time and Return Policy in your Listings

Starting in October, handling time and return policy will become required fields for listings.

When a buyer has a sub-standard shopping experience, the root cause is often the gap between buyer expectations and their actual experience. It's a lose-lose situation, where the buyer is unhappy, and the seller ends up getting a low Detailed Seller Rating.

We're working to solve this problem by bridging this expectations gap. Requiring handling time and return policy allows us to set the correct expectations up front for delivery estimates and return policy. It's a win for buyers, and in turn, a win for sellers, who will benefit from better buyer perception.

What's changing with this project?

Two previously optional listing fields will become required: handling time and return policy.
One new listing field under return policy (Who Pays for Return Shipping) will be created and required.
Handling Time Developer Impact

Makes the existing handling time field (DispatchTimeMax) required input in the following APIs: AddItem, RelistItem, ReviseItem, and VerifyAddItem.
Recommendation tip added to GetItemRecommendations.
May include a new value in DispatchTimeMaxDetailsType.
Return Policy Developer Impact

Makes the return policy information required input in the following APIs:AddItem, RelistItem, ReviseItem, and VerifyAddItem.
Recommendation tip added to GetItemRecommendations.
Return policy to move out of Item Specifics and into a new Return Policy element.
We realize that many sellers offer return policy details in the item description. When return policy becomes mandatory, sellers should ensure that the return policy they select matches the policy outlined in the item description.

In order to ease you into this change, we'll be making the API changes, and handling time and return policy will move inline in the selling flows in September. In October, handling time and return policy will become required fields.

From what I can tell none of the third party programs: Auctiva, Vendio or Channelworks have kept up with the changes.

I think eBay wants us all to list using their forms, despite saying otherwise.

I think the most interesting addition is "Who pays the cost of return shipping".

Finally we may have something that is to the Seller's advantage!

We do have to put in shipping costs by July, so I have been doing handling time at the same time. I haven't been able to work out how to do the return policy, if I try to write something in the given box, it doesn't come up on the auction unless I click the button that say I accept returns, and in most cases I don't.

At least we have until October to decide on handling time (mine will increase to 2 business days since gas will be even more expensive then!) and return policy. I currently do not have a policy and decide on a case by case. If I have to state one it will probably be no returns at all.

Vendio has added the return policy to their listing format. I hope they'll also add the "handling time" soon. I like to use the summer months to prepare advance listings and don't relish having to revise a whole bunch to comply with eBay's new rules.

I've been using 2 days but if I'm going to be held to it - I may increase it to 5 days. Better they get it before they expect to than later.

For people like Otteropp and I shipping from Canada US and worldwide, it really is a mute point. Shipping time is so unpredictable, it really makes the handling time a non-entity.

Vintage,

I cannot speak for Vendio or Channelworks, but I can state that those options are available on Auctiva.

My apologies barparts. I have a friend who uses Auctiva and he said that handling time was not available.

My bad! I have an account over there but never use it. Maybe I should take a peek.

Inkfrog always had return policy and handling time on there listing page I just never used that feature till now.

I usually ship next day but I'm putting down 3day handling.

When we list the shipping cost for USA do we have to list shipping cost for International?
or can we just leave that blank.
