Wow. I suppose it's too much to hope that eBay would pay attention or care.

That's really sad as he had such a good record before.
Ebay won't care mostly because he would not take paypal and we all know how they feel about that.
I wonder if he tried if he could have the negative removed? I wish he would have stated that in the auction. Ebay said they will remove unwarranted negatives and that's what he got.

I would not want to enter my credit card information on a seller site, how do I know if someone is going to sell my credit card data ?
Sometimes a seller does not tell us the real reason why he does not take Paypal-he could have past dispute(s) with Paypal and have a negative balance from lost dispute.
Why does a powerseller with such high feedback and long history of selling on EBAY give up selling on EBay just because of Paypal?
For some of us,Paypal is cheaper than your own merchant account-no monthly statement fee,no annual fee, lower chargeback fee and no minimum fee and fund is available immediately, not 48 hours later.
Fighting a chargeback through your own merchant account is not easier,DC is not good enough, and if he loses,a chargeback fee is anywhere between 25-50 dollars,I have seen 75 dollars!

hwahwa,

It's true he no longer accepts paypal - he didn't go into detail as to why not, but he isn't leaving ebay because of paypal. He stated that he was leaving because NPB can and have left him negatives.

I doubt if this is the main reason he is leaving,he has many positive feedbacks and he has been on EBAY since 1999?
He has interesting merchandise ,may be he is doing better elsewhere .

I am having problem now with a bidder from China, his feedback is private .
I sold him 7 items and I shipped them insured.
One arrived broken so I filed insurance with U-PIC and asked him to be patient as it would take time to get the claim approved and check mailed to me.
He filed ISND with Paypal on 2 items, not one and the second one is much more expensive.
If he told me the second item was broken ,I would have filed claim on the second one as well, but he did not .
U-PIC reimbursed him on the first item and shipping and I threw in a few more dollars for Paypal fee as I cannot refund him from his payment as Paypal locked up the payment.
Well,he left me a neutral for bad packing and refusal to refund?
And thats not all, then he proceeded to file another complaint with Paypal on item not received and threaten to neg me if I dont refund his money.
I looked at what he won on Ebay, some are expensive items and from emailing the sellers, one said the bidder is doing the same with him, filing complaint one after another.
I never understand this private feedback deal? Why even have feedback if no one can read it?
This seems to be a team -one does the bidding and the other one files complaint and they only bidded on Chinese items made in China?
Since seller cannot leave neg or neutral feedback, the pair can merrily go on and keep doing this on Ebay.

hwahwa: The last 3 buyer I had from China, and 1 from Japan all had private feedback. I wonder why? I told one that I wouldn't take Paypal if I couldn't see her feedback, so she took the private option off, and she had over 700 positives, no negs, so why hide it? A little while later, I saw that she had made it private again. Has to be some reason.

There are some bidders on Ebay who buy to resell, and some of these bidders are established dealers who have their own store but they are on EBAY looking for cheap merchandise and they dont want their customers to find out where he found the items.
But then when I do a search by bidder,I can see what he is bidding on and what he has won ?
May be private feedback conceals his identity like which city he lives in ?I dont know.

Private feedback. Don't like it, but you never know why someone has it.
Once I had a buyer who bought lots of expensive watches from me. After about his tenth succesful win, I checked his history to see who, if anybody else he was buying from, and what. Found that he was a buyer of two things:
1. Really expensive watches
2. Anything to do with a certain porn star(back when porn was allowed).
This guy should have had private feedback.

The listing was taken down. What was the premise of it?

A seller with 35,000 FB was selling a Post-it Note that said "Good Bye Ebay". He started the auction at 2 cents because eBay doesn't give 2 cents about sellers. He stated the reasons he was leaving rather matter of factly. The primary reason was that he got two undeserved negatives in the last 30 days (he states in bold letters in his auctions he doesn't accept PayPal and buyers wanted to pay with PayPal) and could not get eBay to do anything about them.

I didn't see any violations in the listing - don't know why eBay took it down other than it made eBay look BAD!
