Check your feedback. Neutrals are back to normal (ie: actually neutral) as of this morning.

Great! And the @#%&* that gave me my only neg has been booted, leaving me at 100%

Great, it's nice to see that 100% back again. The joke for me is that my 2 neutrals would come off tomorrow anyway, so all I got was one extra day.

Oh, all is right with the world again. The birds are singing in the trees, I saw an 80 year old man kick up his heels in joy.

What's the matter with you people? 100% feedback doesn't make you special, it makes you timid.

I take it Fluffy's feedback still sucks.

Tell us all about your sales, zip.

Oh, that's right: You've never sold much of anything. No wonder you live and die by feedback.

You wouldn't know how much I sell unless you were privy to all my eBay accounts. You aren't.

The only person who has mentioned living and dying by feedback is you.

When someone goes to such great lengths to pretend that they don't give a damn about something, I know for a fact the opposite is true.

Any other questions?

Hold on to your seats folks. There is supposed to be some kind of "big" announcement tomorrow. Why does that make my stomach churn?

Ohh, fun! Let's all guess what it could be.

My guess is no more listing fees, higher FV fees.

Back to 100% for me - somehow it doesn't seem to mean much anymore.
What could this big announement be??

Let's pretend that feedback doesn't matter when it is no longer tied to discounts and search standing.

Yeah, the buzz is no listing fees and higher FVF.

When we lose the left border on our store pages, I'm closing mine and going to just fixed priced and auction.

Now that's funny.

I can see the higher FVF's, but no listing fees? I think the fact we all call them greedbay should answer that one.

Cool, I'm back to 100%. A newbie had given me 3 neutrals for no reason a while back.

It's the rumor of the week.

Yeah, yeah, zip, you're the Audrey Hepburn of eBay. You escaped your handlers in Rome last night and are slumming it with Gregory Peck.

Feedback still doesn't matter.

When you guys manage to optimize your selling strategies to perfection -- when you have gotten an iron grip on the selling factors under your control -- let me know. Then I will concede that feedback matters.

Right now many sellers use it as an excuse for doing poorly.

Fluffy is absolutely right - It's usually low volume sellers that make a big deal out of feedback...and I'm approaching 25,000 on my main account, and my 12 month numbers are 8876 positives and 2 negatives. I don't think my sales would be any different if I was 98% positive.

Thanks for the compliment! I've been told that I do kinda look like Audrey Hepburn. We have very similar body types too. I remember when I was a teen I was a bit bummed about being so small on top. Now I am grateful. It must be very uncomfortable to be overweight with ginormous breasts. I like being able to run without anything going boing boing. I also enjoy sleeping on my stomach.

Feedback and DSRs are closely connected and they both matter. If they didn't matter, you wouldn't be reduced to begging your buyers for better ratings in order to improve your visibility in search.

It's painfully obvious that the ME page doesn't jibe with the nonchalance presented here.

That's a fact, Jack.

I think one of the things you miss most about giving up a boss is the loss of the occasional pat on the back - a "Well-done!" accolade when you've done outstanding work. Besides exposing truly awful sellers - eBay feedback provides some of us the needed pat-on-the-back. It used to motivate me. Now I find that most users provide automated feedback, like I do for my buyers. Automation really takes the sincerity out of it for me. I don't bother leaving feedback for sellers, unless I feel a real need to communicate something to other buyers. EBay has been shooting from the hip with these broad changes and retractions. Why not simplify the process by a simple yes/no: Would you buy from this seller again or Would you sell to this buyer again??

Neglus, I just read that, wonder if is true?-Sounds reasonable.

I received two emails from eBay this week wanting me to take a 10 minute survey. I deleted them -- I am toooooo busy revising EVERY auction I list through VD so my buyers can combine S/H . I laffed when I saw that announcement here saying it will be required to state S/H cost WELL I do and have for years, it worked fine, UNTIL A FEW WEEKS AGO. Now I have to revise every listing. I hope eBay fixes it before I cave in and just throw in the towel and list everything straight through eBay -- I do not know what else to do. I guess I could try the "River"
