I think my monitor colors are off. I am fiddling around with listing templates. What color do you see as background to the listing and store header and left navigation on this listng:

Thanks!

I see a light beige. It's very similar to color of the pool deck on the postcard shown.

THanks. I was going for a kind of light khaki-beige-grey. My laptop shows it with bluish tones. Anyone else?

Light grey for me too with bluish tones.
On my monitor it's nowhere near the color of the deck on the pool.

I also see no beige or brown tones, my view is almost white also, but tinted lightly with the blue-gray

Well I guess it isn't my two machines then - buyers will see it any which way. I guess that's how buyers get disappointed because colors aren't as expected. Hopefully all the versions go ok with the blue (sounds like they are all neutral enough). Thanks folks.

Background is very light blue, with a grey tint. Southern mist. Laptop monitor now.

I see beige, in my yarn colors it would be called "clay".

I have always wanted to be the person who names new paint colors so
I see pastel putty...
the header is Cornish Blue
The surrounds are Spainish brick at sunset.

Maybe it's my oldish eyes but I see definite grenish shades.

LOL blue eyes - I have been playing with the colors in my storefront and in the listings I did tonight - kind of hard when you aren't quite sure what others see! I think it is a more greenish khaki now (I need to have the storefront blend with all the other templates I have in my store)

No wonder sometimes buyers complain that the item "isn't the same color as pictured". Maybe, if color is a major issue, we should note a disclaimer in our listings saying something like "the color may vary depending on your monitor".

blueyes: I sell knitting yarn and color is important, and I always put a disclaimer in my listing. I have a hard time describing colors.

I think you're very smart, amber, to do that...especially with yarn. For most of what I sell, exact color isn't an issue. But, if, in the future, I do have such items, I'll certainly remember this topic and modify my descriptions accordingly. Thanks go neglus for starting the thread!

Background I see is light gray with ever-so-slightly bluish/green cast.
